re: Bass Fishing - adding scent to lures - PillageUrVillage
Any time I feel they're unable to use sight as their main hunting sense.
This. Muddy water and night time mostly. Also, when the fish are biting soft and not holding on to the lure very long I feel like it'll make them stick with it a little longer. But I've kinda gotten away f...

re: How often do you sell a boat? - PillageUrVillage
My boat is 25 years old. Its reliable on the water and still looks pretty darn good. Cost of upkeep is nothing compared to the note on an equivalent brand new boat. That being said, how many more years can I get out of it? Would it be worth it to get it refurbished, or would that money be bett...

re: Pellet gun - PillageUrVillage
Budget? I have a Crosman Nitro Venom (.22) that I picked up on Amazon for about $130 a couple years ago. Pretty solid break barrel gun. Very accurate and effective up to 50 yards. If you are willing to shell out more money, Hatsan 125 Sniper Vortex runs about $300. Another break barrel, but...

re: Early weekend results thread - PillageUrVillage
I plan on picking a few up soon
I say I've never gotten them hung up. That's not entirely true. But, I've always been able to work em free. I placed an order for some of their football jigs and what they call their "1 oz bomber". My brother and I must've each hung up $50 ...

Yes sir. After using it this long and not once getting it hung up, and hooking 99% of my fish right in the top of the head, I'm thoroughly convinced. Not buying any other jig from now on....

re: Early weekend results thread - PillageUrVillage
went to Henderson
Went Wednesday. Caught one bass about two and a half lbs. Lost one about the same size right at the boat (hardly hooked on a squarebill). Had about a dozen bites but couldn't seem to get em to stay with it. Also caught a hungry goggle eye. [img]http://i1255.p...

My dad went with one of his friends yesterday and the day before and caught over 40 each day. Biggest being 7 lbs 14 oz. He didn't say what they caught on or how deep. ETA: [img]http://i1255.photobucket.com/albums/hh634/rhinowestside/Mobile%20Uploads/9871C0A1-88A3-4C62-9782-C3BC31620655.jpg[/i...

re: How is everyone's garden doing? - PillageUrVillage
Like most of you, everything is booming and doing great. I already have a few tomatoes and peppers growing. Probably gonna be picking in a few weeks. I think the freak cold front stunted my plants a little and had me worried, but they are doing fantastic....

Crocs and socks! I love frog fishing! By far my favorite way to catch them. Took me a while to get used to letting the take it under before setting the hook. But nothing beats the topwater blowup IMO....
