I'm not saying the programs in place are perfect by any means. And I certainly don't believe in handouts. But I think something has to be done. A kid can't learn when they're hungry and wondering when their next meal will be.

Hope you decide to keep her, especially since you already have a fenced in back yard. My dogs are primarily inside dogs, but it's great having a fenced yard and being able to let them out without worrying that they'll get out.
My bf's parents have two retrievers that stay outside during the day ...

I've been doing them for about a year and a half and it's made a HUGE difference. They still flare up at certain times during the year, but it has helped tremendously with my day to day allergies!!...
