FYI... My little one knocked mine off my lap onto the patio and cracked the screen from the corner towards the middle. I ended up using the shipping repair service with Apple and it worked rather quickly and with great results!
This is certainly not a bad option if there is no repair shop near...

One of these works well... Soft foam and even has a little light on it. You can place it in the middle of the bed pretty easily.

Lived there for about a year. Didn't really enjoy living there because it is so isolated from everything, but that is just my personal preference. I will say that I felt REALLY young living there due to 99% of the population being retired.
As far as nightlife, GRC is a good spot to grab a drink. ...
