re: 60's & 70's sitcoms that stand the test of time - HerbEaverstinks
WKRP - debuted late in that time frame, in 78, but the 88 original episodes are outstanding, but you have to view the ones with the original music. Great, great show. The vast majority of the episodes, which I understand do go into the 80s, are great. Worth mentioning....

re: Bates Motel is really good - HerbEaverstinks
Every time a new character is introduced, you think, how and why is Norman going to kill this one? Both Norman and Norma are really superb in their acting. As one person said, just their facial expressions alone are great. Norman has really been coming on of late in his acting, but IMO the...

Last time i went camping i got a pamphlet that said if a bear approaches i'm supposed to play dead. Really? We're going to rely on my acting skills? Play dead, who came up with that? Maybe, THE BEARS! "Play dead, cover yourself in honey, and climb on a large white plate. Don't try to run away fro...

Even if you didn't want to hassle with selling parts, you can scrap just about any car and collect about a thousand dollars. I don't care how rich you are, a thousand dollars is something most people would not just walk away from, even if you're super rich, that's a free night of hookers and blow. Y...

How Tall Was Noah? - HerbEaverstinks
Serious question: How tall do you think Noah was when he built the ark? During the Civil War, the average height was about 5-7 and the weight average weight of a soldier was about 140. Some historians believe that from averages of when Jesus was alive that He was approximately 4-foot-9 to 5-fo...

re: The Wire - HerbEaverstinks
Yes, it's quite the circus act. You're on the edge of your seat the entire time wondering if the clown is going to fall off "the wire" right there under the big top in front of all those wide-eyed, sticky-handed, pop-corn munching crackers. HBO at its finest. And you didn't even have to wait ext...

If you're talking about the actual show, yeah, always following a semi down the road that is loaded with guns is also a little far-fetched. Especially when you're being investigated by the locals on up to the feds. Ah, what the hell, though. Especially kind of funny if you blaze through all the epis...

The previews to the next one seem to show that his hand is okay, but who knows with this show. Also looks like zombie blonde is going to OD on stage in the next one. What, now her momma shows up? Screw them, we can start our own discussion. 1) Did Truman Capote write "To Kill A Mockingbid" or did Harper Lee indeed write it? 2) and/or did Harper Lee write "In Cold Blood" or did Truman Capote write it? 3) Did Harper Lee do Truman Capote, or did they just do themselves "back in the day...

My wife sat down about 10 minutes in and said, "why didn't you tell me about this series, this reminds me of Silence of the Lambs!" then about halfway Russ gets ax-hammer reamed by the retarded-genius and I start telling her about episode 1, about how Russ had to die now because of what he said abou...

Rust will get strung up and murdered by the cult in episode 8. Well, "Billy", if Woody was in a second season, the theories of him being the killer would take a small hit because he'd pretty much be in jail or on the run. But 2 others have stated it ends with season 1 and there will be new characters if a season 2 is coming, which I'd have to figure it would be...
