No one mentioned the best thing about Mandeville. Make a home there and your kids won't have to go to private schools. Mandeville public school system is like private school for free.. 25 min from New Orleans but also enjoy the lake as a buffer from the sad part of the south shore. Resources for kid...

Bug...just a little advice. The duck usually makes more grease that chicken. Cook that bad boy a day ahead of scheduled serving. Can't miss with the schools, couple kids in Mandeville with friends at all the others. If you want a good catholic school education you can't go wrong with SPS. Sal & Judy has cajun food also. The nickel sauce with shrimp and crabmeat can be put over a steak and is unbelievable...It is in LaCombe though, about 20 min east of Mandy....

Only thing that scares college coaches is the kids from out of state and far away get wishy washy close to NSD. They all think they want to go far from home but when the time comes it gets hard for them. Unless they do not have a good family and then they are usually solid and want to get away....

Couple of hotels by the Outback. walking distance on the loop. There is a Carter's BBQ there in a converted gas station and it's great for lunch..

Here is the trick.....of course mustard and Tony's as everyone has said....but the real secret is garlic powder....There will be no fishy taste on any kind of fish...you can tell because you put all those together and the fish won't even smell like fish when it is raw...you'll love it.....
