| SEC Rant|| re: Will the Spread offense eventually die out? - RolltidePA on 1/23/14 at 11:15 am|
It may change form, but it'll be around in some way or another. Any offense that makes you play 11 on 11 is bound to be around in some fashion.
Honestly the only thing that I've really seen die is the classic QB under center, two backs split, two receiver, old style pro set. I haven't seen that f...
| SEC Rant|| re: SEC Country question regarding high school football - RolltidePA on 1/23/14 at 11:03 am|
This isn't SEC country but Pennsylvania does A-AAAA.
Due to the fact that PA is divided up into townships, and that most townships and boroughs have their own school system, for the most part PA schools are a lot smaller student wise. Most of the areas that have county schools are really small po...

[quote]The TJ Yeldon lack of appreciation is borderline absurd. He rushed for 149 yards against A&M, 121 against Ole Miss, 133 against LSU, and 141 against Auburn. He broke 120 yards in 6 of 8 SEC games. His 6.0 ypc is better than Trent Richardson in 2011 (5.8) and comparable to Ingram in 09 (6.1).[...

I can't remember the year, maybe it was 2001 or 2002? But it was the Iron bowl in T-Town that Auburn won 9-0. It was a rainy cold miserable day; Alabama played like shit, Auburn played a little less like shite. Basically it was a dud of a game played in shitty weather. On top of it all I traveled fro...

I didn't realize that, looks can be deceiving. Some of it may have been the running lanes not being there as they have been in the past. That'll make any RB look a little ...

2004 USC = 2012 Georgia. Great offense, really good individual players on defense, but not necessarily elite as a unit. Surprisingly that '04 USC team a few close games, looking at their season, a lot more than you would think.
It think that game would look really similar to the SEC Championship ...

It kind of makes sense that they'd bring Kiffin in to talk. He and Sark ran the offense at USC. Coach Nuss came from Sark's system at Washington. If there is anyone who we could bring in that has an intimate knowledge of the offense we are running it's Kiffin. It's not like Sark is going to take a b...

Lacy definitely has the most NFL upside of any of the recent RB's at Alabama. Hard runner, good size, quality blocker. Perfect for the NFL game.

That Utah team was really good, undefeated and had some quality wins behind them. I think they ended up finishing #2 behind Florida in the AP. Don't think there need to be a scheme change, a personnel change is more like it. Bama didn't have a great NT this year to swallow up two blocks.
