re: Official 2014 Fall Training Camp/Practice Thread - TheMightyTerrier
Our schedule is too damn tough this year to be fricking around like this. Downplay it if you want, but Lawson and RT are the biggest hitters on our defense. Both are nasty and love to knock dicks in the dirt. I can name 3 plays in last year's iron bowl the two made that were big time hits ...

re: Has Malzahn changed the culture at Auburn? - TheMightyTerrier
Has Malzahn changed the culture at Auburn?
I think you are asking this question to two groups: the fans and the players. The fans will always look at recent history and take expectations from there. Let's be honest, recent history has been a roller coaster for us for the past 10 ...
Kannell, Butch Jones, and Reese
You mean Butch Davis? I doubt Ol' Gus is gonna let competing coaches into practice . If this were middle of the season I might take the points, but not for the opening game....

re: 36 year old financial advisor from Pittsburgh is in final 8 at US Am - TheMightyTerrier
I imagine he makes a pretty good living. Some people just don't wanna have to grind to make it to the tour. If I could make a good living besides playing golf, and still be able to compete at a national amateur tournament level, I wouldn't complain at all.
Preach it, brother. ...
You must be a pretty accomplished player yourself. What tourneys have you played with him?
I play in local qualifiers, Tri-State PGA events, and miscellaneous tournaments that he's been in. My index is low, but I'm certainly not accomplished . The difference between me and ...
If he's that good as a part timer, seems kind of weird that he never went balls to the wall to see if things would shake out for him. Or am I not appreciating the gap between his level and that which would be necessary to make a career out of this?
The second one . It's ...
If Blake Sims starts
I haven't really been following y'all's camp that closely. Is he a serious threat to start? I had assumed that Coker would start and the "QB race" was more for show. Not trying to flame, just curious....

. It's still impressive. While he plays a shite load of golf, he still doesn't practice and play as much as college kids. I've played some tournaments with him. He can play no doubt....
Smith is no average "financial advisor." He's a 4 time US MidAm champ, a former Walker Cup player, and has played in the Masters 4 times. Still, good for him for competing with all of these young guns.
He may not be a PGA professional golfer, but the dude is payed to play golf. ...

2012 Ryder Cup on GC - TheMightyTerrier
I'm watching the re-run of the final round of the 2012 Ryder Cup. Despite the outcome it was fantastic golf. Ryder Cup is one my favorite (if not most favorite) sporting events. Watching Phil give a thumbs up and applaud the big putts Rose made in their match sums up the difference between th...

re: My work league rules make Passing TD's the same as rushing TD's - TheMightyTerrier
My wife is in an all girls league. In typical female fashion they wanted to get points for literally every accomplishment, including completions. Yes, completions. It was stupid; Manning scored 90 something points one week. Point is, your QB will be your highest point scorer by a huge margin, s...

re: Your 1st Tier WR Rankings (PPR) - TheMightyTerrier
Interesting stat to think about, but Marshall has more receptions and more 100 reception seasons over the past 5 years than Johnson. I tend to think Johnson is slightly over-rated in comparison to the others on the list. Not to mention he is starting to show wear and tear....

Definitely Wicked Weed. Buy a six pack of local beer and do either the Lazoom tour of the city or the Amazing Pubcycle. Both are BYOB and tons of fun. They are only 1.5 hours long so it's a good way to see the city and they point out good local joints to try. The Pubcycle was one of the more fun...
