Finger or hand signs. Texas, A&M, TCU everybody from the old Southwest Conference HAD to have some dorky hand sign. Texas started it and all of the me toos came up with something. I saw Oregon doing it last week. We don't do any of that shite....
| Tiger Rant|| re: We are retiring the "we are young" stuff for 2 years at least, right? - tigerecho on 10/26/14 at 11:04 am|
No offing way. Just as many will leave at the end of this year as have the last two or three years. Les has created a pattern that the kids understand. Sign w LSU, you'll be drafted early and the money will come early. He's done a great job but they're going to go if the pros will draft them. As lon...

Sweetheart - that post sounds like a kissup for Alleva. That was a scrimmage we paid to see. It was a part of the LSU ripoff of 2014....
| Tiger Rant|| re: does anyone feel the same way? - tigerecho on 9/1/14 at 5:50 am|
LF will get better. He made two/three high school cuts which turned plays into no gainers or less. Cam Cameron will spend time with him in the film room. Watching Hilliard run north south instead of east west was terrific. It won the game for us. ...

You're absolutely right!!! But think of this. We didn't have to listen to Musburger....

The previous winners make the decision. Not the team. Not the coaches. Do you trust them? Doesn't matter. Thank goodness it isn't you....
| Tiger Rant|| re: 2nd Greatest LSU Football Player Ever - tigerecho on 6/14/14 at 11:11 am|
Kevin Faulk was sensational. No question. He was also very lucky that Cecil Collins suffered a broken leg in his fourth game. Kevin wasn't starting when the Diesel was healthy. Kevin wouldn't have had the stats he accumulated if Cecil had continued to be the starter. Was Cecil the 2nd best football ...

The name you're searching for is Alan Faneca. !3 years in the NFL. Nine years chosen for the pro bowl. Nine years All Pro. The guys he was blocking were black or white. He blocked 'em all. He was the best offensive guard in the league. At one point he was the highest paid offensive lineman in the NF...
| Tiger Rant|| re: Your favorite LSU victory- can be any sport - tigerecho on 5/21/14 at 11:03 pm|
this is hard. I've seen so many. But Cannon for 89 yards for the TD and then Cannon and Rabb stop Doug Elmore at the one. Hard to beat that one '58. The game in Alabama in '82 when Dalton Hilliard sent "The BEAR" into retirement was delicious too. The first 62-0 game. 6-0 at the half.
| Tiger Rant|| re: Does Terrance Magee Remind Anyone of Jacob Hester? - tigerecho on 12/4/13 at 2:10 am|
No not even close. I posted on Sept 2. Magee reminds me of Dalton Hilliard. Hilliard was the most successful pro back ever to come out of LSU. Look up his statistics. They're built the same. They're scorers. Very similar. I made that post after seeing him once. The coaches should have been playing h...
| Tiger Rant|| re: I can't celebrate the Bama loss until they are out of the BCSNCG picture - tigerecho on 12/1/13 at 7:36 am|
Be careful what you wish for. If there's any way Slive can slide Bama in the back door he'll do it. If Auburn beats Mizzou Bama's probably toast but Slive will do most anything to help Bama....
| Tiger Rant|| re: Terrance Magee - tigerecho on 9/2/13 at 8:55 pm|
Terrance Magee reminds me of the best running back i've ever seen play at LSU. Dalton Hilliard was the man. Probably too long ago for 80% of current members but he was great - about the same size as Magee and would find a hole in the defense and burst through it. This guy needs to be on the field....

To miss wreck location, leave I49 in South Shreveport turning West on Hwu 3132. It's 4 lanes w/ no traffic lights. Go about 7 miles - leave 3132 at West 70th (well marked) going west. Watch for sign directing you to turn north toward I20. (about three or four miles. This bypasses wreck location....

In the stands for Billy Cannon's run.
At the end of that game when Billy Cannon and Warren Rabb stopped Doug Elmore at the one to make Cannon's run a winner. They absolutely planted him. Had to have it. That was the winner....
| Tiger Rant|| re: Which former LSU player has had the single greatest NFL season? - tigerecho on 7/6/13 at 12:09 pm|
I don't know if Faneca's best year was any better than his worst year. He was so dominant it would be hard to choose. But he should be in this list.
The other missing player IMO is Johnny Robinson. He was all AFL six years in a row and then came back to be named to that team three more times. KC ...

Daniel Sandifer (March 1, 1927 – August 15, 1987), was an American football defensive back who played from 1948 to 1953. Because of WWII, he was one of the few college football players to play in two College All-Star Games.
Sandifer was drafted by the Washington Redskins in the 1948 NFL Draft out o...

1944 vs GaTech
My father and uncle took me with a last minute decision. I was 6. Bobby Dodd was a big time coach then for Ga Tech. They were in the SEC back then. Tech won 14-6, but it wasn't that close. I think Gaynell Tinsley was LSU's coach but not sure. I didn't see another one until 1956, when...

Good post. Better than anyone else's. Nola was hot and until something changed the tone of the game, small ball was going to be the way this game was to be won. Bregman is the ONLY batter I would have considered having hit away. I imagine Maineri considered the bunt - he doesn't miss much. Good thi...
