I 100% agree. My Kahr CM9 is the same capacity, actually smaller in dimensions, holds the same amount of ammo, and is chambered in 9mm.

The most common will be Federal red box and Blazer brass. Both are small-pistol-primed....

Even though you're not a fan of the external extractor, I did a review of the S&W 1911 with the Scandium/Aluminum frame. I really liked it and it was super lightweight. It belongs to a friend of mine so I can't give you a longterm test but I know the owner loves it and it was 100% for me.

Are you dead set on 40? For the most part, 9mm, 40, and 45 all do pretty much the same thing. But smaller guns in 9mm are much easier to shoot. Then again, if you get a 5 inch, a 40 probably wouldn't be so bad.
