re: Congrats to Tim Quarterman -- SEC Player of the Week! - JR Hamilsbach
Exactly what he has been. A defensive guard that will get some 10 day contracts and may catch on a roster but will go undrafted..i agree TQ is further along than GT offensively but defensively GT was one of the best defensive guards in lsu history
Ten day contracts is how he s...

re: Congrats to Tim Quarterman -- SEC Player of the Week! - JR Hamilsbach
With his rate of improvement between freshman and sophomore seasons combined with his length and skill set for his body type, I don't see how you can't at least entertain the idea that he might continue to develop into a legit NBA prospect. I'd be surprised is he's not at least a second team all sec...

re: Saturday vs Ole Miss just got THAT much bigger - JR Hamilsbach
3: double bye and avoids Kentucky longer 5: get an extra game against a bad team then the 4/5 game 4: Only one game before Kentucky
With our depth, two games before UK could be too much for our guys to overcome with such a short turnaround. We often look gassed at the end of an...

re: After the way the Tigers responded against Tenn? - JR Hamilsbach
It is incredible that this team can lose at home to Auburn.
All teams have bad losses. UGA has been solid this season and has been a very gritty team. They dropped a home game to Auburn yesterday as well. Every tournament team not named Kentucky is going to have some wtf losses....

re: Getting to Know Russell Shepard Wow! great interview!! - JR Hamilsbach
I really like the fact that players who can't crack the starting lineup at LSU, make NFL teams; says so much for the program
That the coach is an idiot?...

re: Hard to beat Kentucky - JR Hamilsbach
You think Quarterman and/or Hornsby would start or play at UK?
I think they'd play. Hornsby was as good or better than the twins last night. Q, not so much. Overall team performance was equal to UK imo for athleticism and execution for that majority of the game until the very end....

re: Hard to beat Kentucky - JR Hamilsbach
What? The top six for UK will all be lottery picks in the NBA.
I'm basing my statement solely on how the UK players played relative to how LSU played last night. I'm well aware that UK players are better overall and will have better pro careers. Six lottery picks should beat a 6-de...

re: Hard to beat Kentucky - JR Hamilsbach
On the court as well.
I don't know what game you were watching when LSU went on a 20-2 run or whatever it was. Those guys didn't look intimidated or outclassed by superior talent to me....

re: Hard to beat Kentucky - JR Hamilsbach
LSU only has 2 players that could play for Kentucky.
On paper maybe. Last night our top 6 did just fine against the almighty Kentucky. We lost the game due to lack of depth and poor execution at the end, both have been trends this season....

re: Hard to beat Kentucky - JR Hamilsbach
We were flat the last 7 minutes, not just the last 2. I've watched all the games this year, not just last night's game. Fatigue issues due to lack of depth is consistently a serious issue for this team. ...

re: Hard to beat Kentucky - JR Hamilsbach
When they have 8 or 9 players that are better or as good as your best 2 players. This was the first game that I have watched from start to finish that Kentucky has played, its hard to defend that talent all night long.
On paper maybe. From last night's game, I'd argue that our bes...

re: Free Throws - JR Hamilsbach
It was very frustrating that we had the opportunity to chip into their lead and make it a one possession game with a minute to play with our and one opportunities, but couldn't make the free throws to do so. ...

re: playoff run 2015 - JR Hamilsbach
Anyone else feel this 2015 team will make a playoff run. Or is it just me. With all the holes being filled with some top talent and what looks to end up being a top 5 recruiting class. I don't know what it is, just feel good about this year.
In basketball? I think that's very poss...

re: ESPN: Teams you can't trust... yet (LSU Basketball) - JR Hamilsbach
If we make it to the tourney, I don't see us going very far. We should've won that game last night by 10 imo.
The line was 5 so we surpassed what the expected outcome was. With this team's propensity to not give their best effort against teams they are supposed to beat, I think th...

re: Opening Line: LSU +3 @ Vandy - JR Hamilsbach
Agreed. I had 'em to cover, but would have thrown smaller on the ML if I had it available to me. I like LSU + anything against Vandy, but not as much as the UF Game since I think LSU has trouble getting up for games that they don't perceive as important....
It was +525...
Gross. I guess they knew something was up with where I play since they didn't post it. I texted my buddies suggesting they look at that game considering LSU can play with just about anyone when they're motivated to do so. Couple that with a down UF team with a few ho...

re: Quarterman has to start at PG the rest of the season - JR Hamilsbach
I dunno, why not try it out next game? Just see what happens.
I think you run the risk of shattering Gray's confidence if you do this whereas what they're doing now is working. TQ continues to get meaningful minutes. I think the risk outweighs the reward. I'm totally onboard with y...

re: Josh Gray could easily be 3rd string PG - JR Hamilsbach
I think Gray should continue to start. Jones has proven that he'll pull Gray if he makes mistakes. If Gray plays well, the team benefits from his ability to get in the lane and pass or score from there. The team is also deeper overall featuring him in the rotation early. If you sit him out the gate,...
