re: Why has this offseason been so secretive? - inthebr
I chalk it up to indifference by those that follow the program, not secrecy. People have grown tired of Miles, don't believe a word that comes out of his mouth, do not have high expectations, and generally will not tune in until opening kickoff.
If people had low expectations this...

re: What an Impressive Win - inthebr
The game was not close. Wtf are you talking about? The saints didn't get a first down the last two times they had the ball, forced pitt to run clock and even with scoring about as quickly as possible and converting two point conversions pitt still didn't have enough possessions to try to tie the ...

re: 10 out of 21 for 110 yards and 1 TD - inthebr
Can't find the link, but I saw someone do a study of amateur vs pro tennis players that said the difference is that pros don't beat themselves. Amateurs double fault, smack a volley out of play, etc. Pros don't shoot themselves in the foot. They get beat. Playing within your ability is key to wi...

re: 10 out of 21 for 110 yards and 1 TD - inthebr
The most important "piece" is that he handled the snaps, handoffs and "check-with-me"s throughout the game. That and 0 ints is all LSU needed. The coaching staff did a terrible job getting calls to the field quickly. They put Jennings in some tough spots trying to audible with under 10 seconds o...

re: Miles hot topic on radio - inthebr
So once in nine years. Ergo, we should not expect to win only 7-8 games "every few years". Maybe "every decade", but come on with this Bama worshipping BS. One loss counts for one. Auburn got over their arse whipping in TS last year. Hopefully our tigers can too. I'll hold out a bit longer than th...

re: Tough to find 7 wins this year... - inthebr
State might be better than ole piss. They certainly have the better qb. The state linebackers and dline were impressive. I won't be surprised if they beat Bama, auburn or TAMU either. LSU is young at so many positions. Hopefully they grown from this game somehow, but it is too soon in the season...

re: do you believe the qb 'issue' is of similar magnitude as the defensive front 7? - inthebr
No. The Oline + QB situation, though, is at least as worrying as the front 7 on D. The linebackers have been even worse than the dline, imo. Disappointing given the depth and amount of experience there. ...

re: Do we approach this game similarly to the way we handled A&M the last 2 years? - inthebr
Wilson is our best WR imo
I just remember Lewis being a nightmare last year. None of the other WRs made much of an impression, but I haven't kept up with MSU since then. More to the original question: I honestly think MSU and TAMU are pretty different teams to prepare against....

re: Do we approach this game similarly to the way we handled A&M the last 2 years? - inthebr
If you have White on Lewis I think that takes away MSU's best recieving threat. Lewis is legit, but White matches up well with him. Other than that I say focus on shutting down their running game. ...
