Interesting stuff as the debate on Evans as SF rages on here. He may be listed as SF, but he that isn't the role he plays on the court.
Despite his recent good numbers (YAY POINTS), his defensive rating is pretty terrible. He probably would benefit from turning Gordon into a 3 an...
I cant really think of anyone that hes done a good job of improving and using in a certain role.
Jason Smith is the biggest example of development. He came here as a 5th big and now he's a solid 3rd big.
He got more out of Vasquez than anyone else has. Career peak per 36 minut...
And his PER 36 was 16.7pts 6.4 and 6.4. Since starting these last 5 games hes averaging 22.4pts, 7 rebs, and 7 assists.
He's averaging more than 36 minutes as a starter so his raw numbers will be better than his per 36. However, his Per 36 as a starter do look much improved in t...

Sorry brah. I just replied to you because it was the last when I started. There have been a lot of people going out of their way to try and prove Monty has never done anything positive in his entire life....
| Pelicans Talk|| re: Don't Fire Monty!!! - TigerinATL on 3/8/14 at 8:27 pm|
Why do we always have to go to extremes. Just because Monty has put his flaws on full display this season doesn't mean he can't do anything right. No team really develops players, players develop themselves, what teams can do is give players a role and a focus. Monty's done a good job of that for so...

They squashed those rumors pretty quickly and Jim Eichenhofer even tweeted about "irresponsible reporting" when people asked him if Jrue was coming back. I think the team knew he wasn't close.
I still have no idea why Demps didnt go after Jordan Hamilton at the trade deadline. Unless I'm missing something, it was just Aaron Brooks for Hamilton straight up. Brooks is not better than Roberts. Connelly wouldn't have sent his old boss spare part for spare part?
I watched season 1 on NetFlix and I it has good and bad. The general plot seems good, but there are some maddening inconsistencies, without being too spoilery, 15 years after the blackout the main characters should be much more hardened than they are, and the available technology (ie mechanical tec...
| Pelicans Talk|| Monty Analysis from The Bird Writes - TigerinATL on 3/7/14 at 8:39 am|
Long article but worth the read. It's a bit anti-Monty but there are a few glimmers of hope for the pro-Monty crowd.
One of the things that's bothered me the most about this team:

Probably more system. I remember complaining multiple stretches last year about how much playing time he was getting because I thought those minutes should be going to Miller since Henry wasn't going to be on the team next/this year. Henry got more minutes than he deserved as a Hornet, and if the L...

Yeah, but he's making decent progress in the areas that were his 2 biggest question marks coming into the league. I don't see any obvious starters that we missed and I think he'll become a dependable backup. If I had a do over I'd give up an asset to move up to 8, I don't think picking anyone else...

They are completely in context, you just don't like how your arguments have spun out of control on you. You can't say Demps assembled a near championship roster in the OP and then throw him under the bus later because it's a convenient way for ...

That's a bit of a misleading characterization of him. Yes he's had a lot of first round exits, but he's made it past the first round 8 times, to the Conference finals 4 times, and to the Finals once.
