re: Cursive Writing, Should this be mandated in elementary school? - Loubacca
I know there was a recent push to start teaching it again because of instances where young adults don't know how to sign their name properly. Also, young people not being able to read things like thank you notes and older documents like surveys, building plans, and schematics with cursive writing o...

re: Car tires on a trailer - Loubacca
I would say don't do it, especially if pulling a boat. Trailer tires contain bigger polyester cords, stiffer sidewalls to prevent swaying, more load capacity, and different chemicals to prevent cracking that results from unusual duty cycles....

I'll throw out Neil Diamond, Van Morrison, and Randy Newman. Obviously the best is subjective but all of these guys are very prolific songwriters....

re: Buying recapped tires.. trashy or smart? UPDATE: added pics from today - Loubacca
I work for a company who does retreads. We only cap medium truck tires though. The failure rate of retreads and new tires generally has to to with maintenance, application, and road conditions. A lot of people who buy recaps don't buy the correct tire/pattern for the correct application, or put i...

re: Robert Earl Keen - Loubacca
I thought he was sober, guess not.
I was certain that he was too. I know as he gets older, he gets more and more eccentric. The show I went to last year, he looked like a mad professor and was talking all kinds of nonsense between songs. The show was still good though. His band ...

re: James Taylor @ River Center - Loubacca
He has a voice that usually ages well with time. His soft, almost spoken vocals don't wear on the vocal cords like some of the screamers or high-pitched wailers. I saw him around 2008 and he sounded great....

re: Elementary teacher salaries at private vs public - Loubacca
Teaching is not bad gig. Some people really love teaching and do it for reasons other than money. If their husband/wife makes good money, then it can be a good deal. Being a teacher is great if you have kids since you will be off for all the same holidays and the summer. I have a cousin that has ...

re: BFG KO2 vs Nitto Terra Grapplers XL - Loubacca
Most AT's these days are not very aggressive. Most tire makers are aiming for a quieter tire and better mileage with rounded tread instead of the old AT's which were more knobby....

re: BFG KO2 vs Nitto Terra Grapplers XL - Loubacca
The nitto's will be loud, however the 10 ply tire will not ride as smooth as an 8 ply. A 10 ply is significantly heavier than an 8 ply. Most of the tires in that size will be 10 ply like mentioned before....

re: BFG KO2 vs Nitto Terra Grapplers XL - Loubacca
You can't compare the BFG's to the Nitto's. The BFG's will be much quieter and should last longer. The Cooper STMaxx is a beast though. I would get those over the other ones....
