re: This is why knee surgery sucks (warning graphic) - 185LSU
You would actually be surprised.... Patient came to our office asking about the her hospital bill one day and got into the discussion with the staff. Physician reimbursement is not that big of a portion of the overall bill...1500-2000$. For reference, not really much of a difference in reimbu...

I'm an ortho resident, still have a couple years of fun training left... Fun times! I will say that this surgery is probably one of the tougher non-trauma ones to watch as a lay person, the femur and tib just hangin out, the saws, drills...etc. ...

re: Kayak trip - 185LSU
Sorry slow to reply... 5 of us went out. One had a kayak of his own, the rest of us rented some cheap kayaks 20$ for a day, 3 sit on tops which had slow leaks and began to really sag when we were coming back. I was in a sit in without a skirt that was starting to get significant water inside by t...

Kayak trip - 185LSU
Hey guys, I know they got some kayak fishermen on here so I figured this would be a good place to go. I recently went on a amazing yak trip out to some rigs and caught a few really nice reds, so I'm hooked. We went out with a few buddies and did it kind ghetto, with cheap kayaks and minimal ge...

Thanks for y'all's input. It's been a while since I played a set and just trying to get some ideas. In college I definitely had a couple incidents with drunk girls screaming requests. Never really minded and usually obliged right away if it was something I knew. Every now and then you get a re...

Acoustic Gig Songs - 185LSU
Hey y'all, I admittedly lurk a pretty good bit, but seeing your music tastes, thought I could get some help here. Played an open mic recently and got an offer to play a solo gig at the same place. Probably a 2.5 hr or so set. I have a pretty good list of songs that will cover that time, but wa...

re: Help choosing a rilfe - 185LSU
Yeah, I have been pretty lucky to see some parts that not a lot of people get to see and they were great experiences. My family is not a very "touristy" family, but I have gotten to do a glacier cruise and some of that stuff. There are plenty more things on the list. A family friend does the inland ...

Most scared I've ever been in my life was when I was walking through 8 foot alders near the Moraine creek stepping over bear droppings and nesting areas with nothing but my fly rod. The guide laughed when I asked if he carried a firearm...The bears were everywhere, kinda freaky....

My dad always tells this joke... Guy walks into a hunting shop in Alaska getting ready to head out on a camping trip and wants a pistol for protection. He asks the guy at the counter for to see the .45 revolver, he likes the feel of it and asks the guy to ring it up. As he's ringing it up, the gu...

I have been lucky enough to be invited to go up to the North Slope, I believe in Anaktuvuk Pass to hunt. When I go, it will probably be in that area mostly, but if I start going more, I will branch out and check out other regions. Thanks all for your input....
