I've had one for years. It was my second firearm. The first was a crack barrel .410
I have literally put 1000s and 1000s of rounds through this gun. Still shoots but is picky about what ammo these days. Probably about worn out.
I dressed it up a while back.

Here are some I ran across and bookmarked a long time back. You can buy the unfinished racks but there is enough info to use to build your own.
Several different rack designs, not just wall mount.
Pistol racks as well.

Wal-Mart gets a shipment usually every other day. If the ammo shows up on the app tonight, they will put it out tomorrow morning. At least that is how it works at my local WM.

bapple, I hear what you are saying. The trigger on a
$400 gun should not compete with the $1000 gun...but it does. It is really, really good.
We really had a blast with those poppers too. We were having a "double tap" competition. 8 rounds in the 1911, double tap all four targets. ...

Nobody looked down the barrel. It was taken at an angle. I deliberately took steps to get that shot but do it in a safe manner.

Did you field strip and clean the gun first?
Most guns come with a protective grease in them. This should be cleaned out, then the gun should be lubed.
Most folks will tell you that Sigs like to be run "wet". Make sure the rails are well lubed.
Here is a good guide showing how to properly lube...

I recently purchased the Sig SP2022. I think it is an excellent value(~$400) for a polymer pistol in the SA/DA style.
Similar to the Glock, it has no manual safety, but it does have the de-cocker. You can pull through in DA for the first shot and then follow up with the very nice SA trigger.
