Which would ring a lot more true if they hadn't shut down Vermont Yankee specifically citing the low cost of natural gas. LINK
I think the negative pricing effect was significant in this case. Maybe not as much as low gas prices, but the possibility of significant negative pricing...

It's a deregulated market. Prices are set by demand I believe.
And subsidies to wind and solar also hurt nuclear in the pricing game....

Dobbs is still iffy. The line has another year, but what if a turd is always a turd? Jancek's defense regresses to a Jancek defense, and USCe doesn't suck....

Looks like his buyout went up and is now more than Fulmers. It's not likely, but there's still a reasonable chance we burn hard next year and miss a bowl....

This is disconnected from natural gas prices right? So there's still opportunity in North Dakota and elsewhere right?...

Eventually a coach has to coach. No matter what other bullcrap they have to deal with. And I'm 50/50 on whether Butch Jones and his staff are on par with what the SEC requires.
Instability sucks, but sometimes coaches need to go so you can find that right guy. But when you extend mediocre coa...

If the rumors were right, which they rarely are, he tip-toed into Strong while Gundy was using him for a raise. I'm not sure Strong is better than Butch. But Hart sure seemed incompetent then. I also think he looks like a doofus. Maybe not full level Sunseri doofus looking....
| Tennessee Sports|| re: Butch Extension - NukemVol on 12/6/14 at 11:43 am|
The salary raise is not my problem with this. My problem is that for every extension, it becomes harder to get rid of them with the buyout extending. My problem was never giving Fulmer the raise, it's the extension and buyout that came with it that killed us for a half decade....
| Coaching Changes|| re: Rivals: Harbaugh is "definitively" top choice; Michigan vetting Butch Jones - NukemVol on 12/5/14 at 9:02 am|
Look forward to paying Butch's buyout for the next 10 years when we fall flat next year. Butch is possibly the worst coach in this conference. He struggled to beat a craptastic Vandy squad. His only good win was last year's South Carolina, and even then, South Carolina crapped the bed more than UT...

Old City, that's a walk. I wouldn't mind, but that's not an easy walk. I'd say 95% of people would not be a fan. And it's a night game. While the area is not unsafe, and in particular game days are pretty safe in general, I'd say it's not the "safest" area, and could make some uncomfortable. Bu...

So another player convinced the girl to call the police in what might have been an actual assault, and fans are more mad at him? As opposed to the guy who might have been involved, or might have had the ability to stop it?

White Ave and 14th is a fine spot. I guess a lot of it depends on if you want to tailgate where you park. A lot of people tailgate in the fields at the Lake Avenue Parking garage (19th st.), or near fraternity park drive (I'm having a real brain fart in remembering what it's called). Those are th...

We do. But we realize that's not what is up for debate. We have two options, both shitty. And I'm choosing the government because there is a significant history of broadband providers being terrible.
It's really the one industry that would lose this fight for me. It's a monopoly who has bri...

The FCC has been regulating them forever. They were enforcing net neutrality through the open internet order up until recently. And that rule didn't even ban fast lanes.
I'm siding with the government on this one....

I think the focus of the issue is wrong. Instead of complaining about it, address the issues of why are they covered. We are talking about mostly emergency care provisions, and birthright citizenship (medicaid eligibility).
edit: I believe birthright citizenship is very American, and in fact, ...

Canada and the US are the only developed nations with birthright citizenship.
