Let's see, we lost to the #2 and #3 teams by 12 pts. on two series and we play in the wishbone bowl while atm and usc play in better bowls. Been this way throughout history, so never expect different result. Hope all but MSU/Ole Miss/LSU lose!

Had one, but no longer. Your grandad may have retired the calendar in Nov, 59 due to LSU's loss in Nov to Tennessee. I used to have a clipping from the Morning Advocate showing Cannon on goal line for 2 pt. conversion against TN. The ball had broken the plane!

Yes sirree you are correct. When I was a tot (12) in '58 and '59 I remember it well. Don't remember penalties, but remember the warning given out by the refs. Happened on several occasions as I remember it.

Well stated. You've got me by two yrs! I've seen some great times, all three recognized national titles, humiliations by Bryant, screwings by the polls (primarily the ND escapade) and all of the all Americans.
This is definatly the most golden of ages!!
