The Republicans supported those measures because they were practical, reasonably painless ways to eliminate PROVEN health threatening problems like acid rain and pollution. Stopping a very basic element that occurs naturally and doesn't pollute (CO2) is completely inpractical. ...

The big problem is that leftists/warmists insist on approaching the debate from an idealistic save the earth standpoint instead of a practical renewable energy standpoint which all sides would support. If warmists REALLY wanted to solve the emissions issue they would throw all their government grant...

And just as this article comes out Arctic ice melt has come to a dramatic screeching halt the past couple of days. Average ice loss in very large August/very early Sept should be anywhere from 25,000 to 60,000 square kilometers per day. The last 3 days the loss has gone from 26,000 to an amazingly l...

I honestly can't see how any objective, rational person who experienced both decades could actually pick the last 10 years over the 1980s. Technology improvements aside, there are VERY few things better now. Even today's plusses are watered down by minuses. The people have better hairstyles and dres...

"I'm 34, and I find the whole idea of doing that kind of thing exhausting."
I'm in my late 30s and trust me it is exhausting. Got back into the dating game very recently and have given online dating a shot. Mixed results so far. I've been on 2 dates with a really attractive girl (former cheerlead...

I'very literally heard a large number of people say go for the good night kiss if it goes well at all. You're screwed if you don't (no pun intended). I've heard an equal number say take your time and don't go for the kiss on the second date even if it seems to be going well. I don't think an...

We live about 25 miles apart so it wouldn't be a long distance situation.
"Let her make the first move"
This is the way I'm leaning unless she starts flirting to the point it becomes pretty obvious I need to make a move. I play it a little TOO cool and am a little too coy sometimes to the poi...

So after being out of the dating scene for a while and a long resistance to trying online dating, I said what the heck and joined a site. Ended up getting in touch with an attractive woman who was interested in meeting. We recently met up for a casual meeting and although my game is a little rusty ...

I played on my high school's golf team and our state championship tournament was held each year at the Lake Point Resort course in Eufaula. I remember being suprised at how many gators there were in all the lakes on the course. There were some big ones too.
The weird thing is that this gator was...

I live in Mobile and had to meet someone in Fairhope yesterday right after work. I was on I-10 eastbound and took the I-65/Montgomery exit up to the I-65/I-165 exit towards downtown Mobile. You go about 2 miles and get off on the 2nd exit on I-165. This takes you over the Cochran bridge north of Mob...
