I grew up west of Montgomery and we were always just south of where most of the significant tornadoes occured. You could draw a line from near Jackson, MS to south of Tuscaloosa and Bham through about Rome, GA and areas along and North of that line were constantly getting tornadoes.

Yeah, the Tanner, AL community near Huntsville got hit twice by large tornadoes ON THE SAME DAY during the April 3, 1974 Super Outbreak. State and Ole Miss aren't the only ones that got hosed by a rain out. Alabama was up 4-0 on Texas A&M on Sunday of their series and got rained out. That win would have made a big difference in the final standings....
