re: What can we expect from Brandin Cooks this week? - LSUDropout
I'm playing him in my league, partially because I'm a homer and I'm looking to have fun. I'd be happy with 5-6 receptions and 50-60 yards. Any more than that (which I think is possible) would just be lagniappe. ...

I must admit, you've sparked my interest in the pfsense. I'll probably install it on some old server hardware I have laying around just to try it out....

re: Cisco ASA's - overrated or the shiznit? - LSUDropout
I did not price them while I was there, but it would suffice to say that they're fairly expensive (100k+?). For SOHO environments, I doubt Cisco is usually the best choice. I think it's also a lot easier to pick other products in these situations because there are usually less politics invol...

re: Cisco ASA's - overrated or the shiznit? - LSUDropout
I worked in a fairly large data center which had Cisco FWSM's, Cisco ASA 5585's, Palo Alto 5050's, and Juniper SRX. Of all of those, we had the least amount of issues with the ASA's. The performance of the Palo Alto and Juniper were better, but the Cisco gear was by far the most reliable. My on...

re: Cisco ASA's - overrated or the shiznit? - LSUDropout
I've heard good things about PFSense, but one thing to keep in mind is that Cisco ASA's (and other hardware based appliances) often have specialized hardware which makes them much more efficient. Many of those appliances have ASICS and other dedicated processors for ACL processing, encryption/descr...

re: Comcast business internet - VoIP QoS? - LSUDropout
If they do honor the QoS markings, you should re-mark all of your traffic. If they don't honor the QoS markings, it is probably because some a-hole re-marked all of his traffic and got it taken away for everyone. ...
Otherwise, there seems to be quite a few openings for CCNP-level Cisco Network Engineers in my area (NOLA) that are paying about $40/hr on average. I know I get contacted almost daily lol.
Do you currently work in NOLA (my area as well). I'm pretty invested in Networking at this...

re: Difference in muscle strength in each arm - LSUDropout
Are you right handed? It believe it is natural for your non-dominant hand/side to be stronger. We tend to use our non-dominant side for activities which require gross motor skills, leaving our dominant side free to handle activities which require fine motor skills. For instance, if you're car...

It has been almost 15 years since I've run competitively, but I think one of my best performances was a 10 mile race I finished in right under an hour. Sub 6 minute miles for 10 miles...I'm not sure how I did it....
I read that the average CCIE spent 2 years and 10G preparing.....
I can easily believe that. Depending on your current salary, location, and other factors, you need to look at the ROI for that. It isn't worth it for everyone. For me, it is becoming more of a personal goal. It...
