That is funny because the BTN website says BTN is currently available to up to 73 million homes. They don't bother to say what fraction of those actually subscribe.
Unless they do
Unless they do what? And how is the B1G fricked? You guys aren't making any sense at all. What is it with you guys and all the SEC vs. everyone else? These networks aren't competing with each other. Actually, all this means o...
They did so by partnering with ESPN. The day the network launches, it will already be in more homes than BTN.
How do you figure that? You are just talking out of your arse and have no facts to back that up. BTN is available in around 90 million homes. Of that number, I believe ar...
That is just wrong.
The B1G has half of the risks. That is the reason Rutgers gets a smaller payout early on- they have to basically buy their part of the 49% (Maryland does too they are just basically financing it over a long period because they are poor right now).
The SEC doesn't h...
| SEC Rant|| re: Looks like Nebraska is going to buy out home and home series with Tennessee - HuskerFan182 on 5/6/13 at 11:29 am|
One thing from a football scheduling standpoint to pay attention to is Tennessee's scheduled 2016 contest with Nebraska. With the Big Ten's decision earlier this week to split into eastern and western divisions and play nine league games, that leaves the 'Huskers with one game too man...
So ESPN carries ALL the risk of getting the network going, but the SEC conference splits the upside 50-50.
Take that B1G.
Take that B1G? The Big Ten owns 49% of the network. Was originally 51%. So the SEC is getting 1% more for their network. I don't see the huge difference...
| SEC Rant|| re: Looks like Nebraska is going to buy out home and home series with Tennessee - HuskerFan182 on 5/5/13 at 2:45 pm|
Where are you reading or hearing this? I have seen nothing regarding canceling this game. Nebraska plays Tennessee at home in 2016. That season Nebraska will play 5 conference games on the road and four at home so it doesn't make sense to cancel the series. There are already 3 home non conference g...
I didn't see this anywhere else in the thread (could have missed it, I have been checking in every now and then), but there is a report that ESPN will own the whole thing. If that is true I do not like.
This might be a dumb question...but it's important to me. Will I be able to go to my favorite little secluded bar and watch Alabama and the rest of the SEC games or will they have to buy something else to get the channel? I live in central Florida if that means anything.

So basically for LSU fans wanting to watch baseball games, will we be seeing more or less games?
We won't know until later next year. Could be more will air but could be that the majority air on ESPN3 and not on the SECN. More details will come out later next year....
| SEC Rant|| re: SEC Network FAQs - HuskerFan182 on 5/3/13 at 12:16 pm|
And to all thinking that ESPN will sub-license some games to other networks that's not going to happen. Any games that fall beyond selection from CBS and ESPN will be property of the SEC Network. Rather or not they choose to air it on the network or on ESPN3 is their choice but that's all any game...

I think you are getting confused with the B1G. They back tracked from that recently.
No, he's right. The Big Ten will be going to 9 conference games starting in 2016. The Pac-12 is discussing going from 9 conference games to...

I, just as most Husker fans I'm sure, will definitely be pulling for LSU. LSU fans have always been very cool when talking to them. And they are as passionate about their team as Husker fans are about theirs. Can't wait until tonight to see LSU put an arse beating on the Tide.

| Tiger Rant|| Why LSU wins big - HuskerFan182 on 11/4/11 at 11:27 am|
All the media keeps talking about how great both defenses are. But only one defense really is great and that's LSU! I heard a stat yesterday, can't remember what show I was watching, but Bama hasn't played an offense that ranks higher than 85th in the country. That's crazy! That's why their defe...

They can't do that. FCC doesn't allow for that to happen. If it does go black then anybody within the New Orleans area can just plug an antenna ...

This does involve several local stations across the US that are owned by Belo Corp. One of the stations that Belo owns is WWL in NOLA. Belo and DirecTV are in negotiations to continue to carry their local stations. Only a dispute about how much Belo wants DirecTV to pay for each of their subscrib...

If you are against having a playoff and/or are for the bowl system then you need to read 'Death to the BCS'. After you read that you come back and tell me that you prefer the bowl system and don't want a playoff. A playoff system would make the Universities and conferences tons more money and woul...
