Yeah. That's fair. Not sure if they're only looking for a 1st extension guy though. Harden situation was a fluke, banking on repeating it is silly.
The process for them seems to be flexibility above all else right now. At some point, they have to move some chips into the pot...
If they draft another front court player they are setting themselves up for their own Harden situation, where a bench player could be traded away and turn into a superstar.
Yeah. Very interested in what they do if they get a shot at Okafor or Towns. Best player mantra still work? O...
To be fair, don't the 76ers have to hit a salary floor,
Not really. If they don't, the difference between salary and the floor goes to the players on the roster.

KJ trade is definitely scorn worthy. I think he's getting more money than you do though. I could see $8-$10M annually. If the Sixers don't want to pay that, that's fine. Curious why they wouldn't of course; maybe they like Grant (and his contract) better? It's not that different than Milwaukee tradi...
Smart doubling down is still doubling down
Sure. Every team takes risks to build what they want. Demps did it with Asik.
This is Hinkie's way of doing it. Like I said earlier, his owners are on board for now. They are willing to absorb a McGee just to get a pick. If it blows up,...
f you don't get the immediate payoff you run the risk of becoming the gambler that doubles down, then doubles down again, then can't find his way back because he's so far off track
I agree. I don't think Hinkie is going for the quick payoff though. He could have done that by keepin...

Can give you a scouting report from high school. Got to watch him dunk all over my (as a coach) team in the state tourney.

Sharp makes some good points. Particularly the veteran culture one. We've seen that as Pelicans fans. In this league, you have to know how to play in closing time.
I'll say this, every rebuild comes down to luck. Two teams have about half the titles. You get the talent and you win. There's no one...

Pretty obvious they're happy to give Cunningham and Evans those open jumpers.
That said, I like the way they are bombing from deep. More of that please, especially when Davis is back....

$12M won't shock me.
If we're getting a $90M cap in 16/17, Asik (and every other UFA) is not going to take $$ based on the $67M one for next season. Asik will be 29 this summer. He's likely looking at his last big contract. $12M comes out to 13% of a $90M cap. His $8M salary is 12.5% of the $63M...

Monty certainly deserves a ton of credit for the performances post ASB. And he has improved some in game. I am still baffled at times, but a better bench makes him look a lot better.
The one thing i haven't gotten all year is the reluctance to ride Asik and defense. We got way too much Steamer, A...

Would be curious to see someone break down how he gets his rebounds.
