re: what is your go to knife when cleaning deer? - mamoutiga
my approach to deer cleaning has evolved over the years. I used to use a "hook" blade to gut the deer, then a large fixed blade to start skinning. Sometimes did finish skinning with a large filet knife. Today, I use whatever knife Tboys slaughter house uses! ...

re: Navy SEAL O'Brien; more than meets the eye? - mamoutiga
I find it fascinating that the feds are going after the other Seal who wrote a book about killing Osama with the full force of the federal law, but they run OBrien out to spill whatever he chooses. I have no doubt that OBrien is a hero, but I fear he is being used as a pawn for some political gain...

Then an afternoon bow hunt where I killed a beautiful 11 point, biggest deer I've ever seen! Aye nothing but 4 course 5 star meals since I got h...

always hunt with the daughter man. those 2 big bucks won't mean near as much as a day in the stand with the little misses. not sure how old she is, but she's only a few years away from hating hunting, her mom, you, and everything else you like. Arkansas, will always be there. ETA: [quote]She's 1...

re: Give me some advice for the weekend (hog/deer hunting) (pic added) - mamoutiga
I'd start on the southeast corner where the creek bed, property line and road (?) meet up next to what looks to be an open field. looks like a natural funnel/ pinch point with potential for food along the edge of the road, and a thicket back to the west/ northwest. If that is a planted field to the ...
