safest thing in my opinion is to put it in a Vanguard Target retirement fund until you can educate yourself about retirement, stocks, bonds, mutual funds, etc. pick the one that matches year of your retirement and Vanguard does the allocation for you....

I know a guy here that had it happen to him. It was the person in the bank responsible to track down those problems who was stealing the card info. Gave it to an associate to use then when you called the bank about the charges you got referred to the thief....
