Try on some Mauis and Costas. I have a pair of each. Prefer the Mauis for daily wear and the Costas for fishing. Maui has lighter, more comfortable frames. Lenses are nice, but Costa lenses are superior....

No set on a circle hook. I wouldn't use them for speckled trout. A fish has to get the whole circle in his mouth for a circle hook to set properly. You'll miss a lot of soft bites. They are fine for using cut bait to target bull reds.

Your stop sign experience is one of my biggest pet peeves. When I encounter people like that I sit there until they go like they are supposed to. It's actually quite fun...their indecision starts to drive them crazy and they don't know what to do. Women get especially flustered....

You'll probably spend $200-$250 on a double jet burner and a decent 100 qt pot. If this is a one-time thing, I'd look into borrowing one.

Navionics is like $10. Very worth it IMO though. You can download charts straight to your phone and use offline. Great tides feature, weather features, etc. Save your favorite fishing locations and access tides, weather, etc with one touch....
