Not the way I remember it...
Shaq wasn't really hyped a lot coming in, other than Duke also recruited him (and Coach K was gonna redshirt him). He wasn't considered "all-world" or anything like that, just big and raw. Stanley Roberts was the big-name c...
| New Orleans Saints Talk|| re: Are we witnessing a change of philosophy on offense? - Scoob on 3/7/14 at 5:12 pm|
I think the change in philosophy started a couple years ago, as evidenced by the Ingram pick. Remember what everyone said about Ingram? He looked like an Emmitt Smith clone.
Brees is going to lose arm strength over the next couple years, just like Manning has. You can't count on him giving you 50...

Well, expose the holes.
ask Florida in 2006 about that. Ohio St was the "superior" team, went undefeated, and had just beaten another "superior" team in #2 Michigan; so clearly the Big 10 was the "superior" conference too (hell, they had #1 and #2 i...
since by rights they should win that game 1-0 (forfeit).
except for the fact it wasnt a forfeit
I said it should have been. USC had ineligible players. If you look at it, it wasn't a legit game due to that, thus should be considered forfeit. Take it for what it's worth.

My 2 cents-
1, I agree with Rome on the HUNH/Saban issue. It reeks of sour grapes; Saban doesn't want to adjust to playing against that style of offense.
2, I also remember Everett going after Rome when it happened, and it was hilarious. I always thought it was legit, too; but go watch the yo...

Top 10 with strong consideration for Top 5, annually.
Probably 1 SEC title, which would mean making the 4 team playoff for national title that season. I won't speculate on whether we win it all that year; you might be the overwhelming "best" team but suffer an injury in the semifinals that screws ...

Mett is probably one of the easier QBs to project, if you're an NFL team. He has an elite arm and good size, but lacks speed.
In one season under Cameron, he went from wasted potential and undrafted, to one of the better QBs in the SEC.
It's simple; do you run a pocket passing scheme? Do you h...

If you're objective, Jarvis has some weak spots in his game. '12 there was a lot of speculation his routes were off, that's why Mett was always missing him.

I think we expect a postseason appearance every season; right now NIT can suffice (while things build). We WANT a team that is NCAA-bound every season of course; but NIT and a run would be acceptable.

Well, in a singular, objective view, the Dutch coach is correct- if America focused on Olympic sports instead of non, then we'd win almost every event running away. Football does gobble up a huge percentage of our fastest and most powerful athletes.
