re: Game of Thrones S6:E2:"Home", HODORS ONLY(No Book Readers) - Scoob
Bran needs a way to get around as well. I guess a wheelchair isn't practical in the woods. But it's awkward seeing him on the ground. Can he be healed with all of this new magic? New body?
I seem to remember Bran asking this question himself, when he finally met the 3 eyed raven. Thoug...

re: Question: have we Regressed in every major sport since Alleva arrived in 2008? - Scoob
I have been saying Alleva was a bad hire. He has a way of opening his mouth about a coach or sport in midseason which brings nothing positive to the situation. He said something about the basketball season being a bust durning the season. I'm sure that improved the morale of the team. Look wh...

re: Anyone Else Feel Like Civil War Better Deliver? - Scoob
I thought dead pool was marvel???
Yes/no. It's a Marvel character, but not MCU. It's in the X-Men continuum (again, also Marvel, but not Marvel Movies). Ultron was a bit of a letdown, but let's see how things stand over time. As an example, I was a huge Star Wars geek when the or...

re: Watching TFA for the First Time Since Original Viewing at the Theatre - Scoob
The only part that got to be a bit too much for me was the scene of them running from the storm troopers and Rey constantly saying, "let go of my hand!" We get it JJ, she's a strong independent woman that doesn't need a man to save her. No need to beat us in the face with it.
That...

re: Watching The Revenant on Bluray - Scoob
Just watched it. I agree with the consensus, it was an impressive visual achievement, some great scenery combined with a skilled and creative use of wider lenses. Story lagged a lot, and was very predictable. Glad I watched it, not planning on seeing it again for quite a while....

re: Good deal on Magtech 9mm - Scoob
Seems like Magtech is the current bargain-priced brass 9mm ammo, I've seen it on several sites as their cheapest brand recently. Not a terrible deal, but for range ammo I've shopped around and beat the price (including shipping). Not long ago, I found somewhere online selling Aguila 124 gr FM...

re: Peak of your happiness as an LSU fan - Scoob
I think the time period starting from the beginning of the SEC championship vs Georgia in 2003, through the Sugar Bowl against Oklahoma. Not the end, winning the title- that moment when you realize you finally get to play for it. You know you still might lose, and you've never been there before,...

re: Best Kodi Add-ons - Scoob
Darn, this bothers me. I just recently began looking into Kodi as a streaming option/alternative, and now I'm seeing threads and mentions like this begin to pop up. Just based on my own personal experience, any time I find out about things like this, is about the time these things get targeted a...

re: DC fans send death threats to critics who did not like BvS and MoS - Scoob
The critics do get a little picky. I just watched Jurrasic World again (on HBO). That got a 71% fresh rating and a shit-ton of movie. I saw it in the theaters, and watched it on demand as soon as I knew it was out. I forgot just how laughably bad some of that movie was. I mean, the younger bo...

re: Green Lantern Corps - 2020 release date - Scoob
quote: I will never understand why the studios thought it would just be "ok" to cast an actor in 2 different super hero roles.

Because they usually do better the second time around. (If they're recast as a different hero, it means that their previous hero character had a short ...

re: Force Awakens Revisited - Scoob
quote: Why did Rey fly the Falcon better than Solo ever did in the OT? We never saw the pinnacle of Han's piloting prowess. He was a smuggler, and if you know anything about the Kessel Run, then that should tell you all you need to know about it.
That tells me nothing, other than a...

re: DC fans send death threats to critics who did not like BvS and MoS - Scoob
Yeah, TDKR was actually getting bad reviews early on (which BTW I felt were deserved). Then some psycho Batman nerds started writing death threats, and viola, all the bad reviews went away....

re: What'll be the 1st MCU movie to be scored rotten/1st DCU movie to score fresh? - Scoob
I seriously doubt that Marvel will have single film between now and Infinity War 2 get a rotten score. They have their formula and they know how to play the game with critics.
And they'eve established themselves as basically an entire genre; it isn't just "epic blockbuster", "big actio...

re: What'll be the 1st MCU movie to be scored rotten/1st DCU movie to score fresh? - Scoob
As far as GotG 2? There's no way I could possibly see that as having a rotten rating. James Gunn is returning. The budget will be bigger. The cast is returning. I just see that as being an extension of the success of the first one.
The first GotG has a lot of "One Hit Wonder" stuff goi...
quote: To the OP, do not listen to this man. It's one of the worst movies I've ever seen and will go down as one of the worst films of all time. It is simply awful, and anyone who thinks otherwise has very low expectations for their entertainment. Seriously, it's one of the worst films...

re: Force Awakens Revisited - Scoob
I have to clarify, I don't HATE TFA. It's a lot more fun than the prequels were, and we do get enough continuity and bridging that future films will still be Star Wars, regardless of the cast. It's just sloppy in a lot of areas, parts you'd want to explore in repeated viewings. As you explore th...

re: Prince is dead at 57 - Scoob
I get why some people don't understand how great Prince was on the guitar. His image hardly screamed "rock god" and he was very protective of his music and made it difficult to find a lot of his stuff online before copyright and DMCA claims got it taken down. But other musicians, including le...

re: Force Awakens Revisited - Scoob
Interesting note. In the novelization of the film, Starkiller Base did not get energy from suns. It used dark matter. It did not need to travel.
That would have been far better. I'm going to assume the blast was through some sort of hyperspace portal, or other faster-than-light means...
