But unless you're Mitt Romney with then $100 million IRA then don't freak out and take a 10% haircut just to rush into the incredibly crowded trade that is "rental slumlord"...

My Roth is already fully funded for 2013.
I have an unexpected expense coming up next month, can I withdraw up to my 2013 contribution now, and then "recontribute" it by the end of the year?
Seems simple enough, Just want to make sure there is nothing I'm missing.

The key is not to have too many categories... I only have 4
Home (rent/utilities/cleaning supplies)
Car (gas, car note, insurance, a little maintenance cushion)
Necessary (groceries, food, toiletries, etc)
Entertainment (meals out, booze, hookers, blow)...

Millionaire next door is a great book, the numbers are a little dated from what I remember but the principles are great. Do they have an updated version, I havent read it in like 6 years......

my parents paid for my college, with the clear expectation that a victory lap was not an option and neither was moving back home to mooch off them after graduation.
graduating with no student loan debt was an incredible blessing and I will be eternally grateful for that....

In mine there is NOTHING over 1%, avg expense ratio for my 401k elections is <20 basis points.
Even the priciest options in my 401k (managed through Hartford) are all under 1%...

not sure what kind of courses youre talking about, but Aswath Damodoran (a well known professor at the NYU MBA program) offers two of his classes for free via iTunes U... obviously you get no credit and this would purely be for your own benefit.

I use. TD Ameritrade for my Roth since there is virtually no trading activity I'm not worried about the higher fees.
I use OptionsHouse for my taxable acct that I trade more actively.
They have a good app, rock bottom rates, and have excellent customer service. ...
