[quote]When you pass the PE exam, does that equate to more
As Croacka said, it won't add much. The only reason my company cares about PEs is because we have to have one to satisfy some legal requirements. We have about 25 EEs and about four of those have their PE, so adding more...
| Money Talk|| re: Electrical Engineering - eelsuee on 3/5/14 at 7:43 pm|
From Galveston to Mobile, there is a lot of need for electrical engineers with an emphasis on power. Most of LSU's EE grads are in power and have an easy time finding jobs. At my company, they start around $35/hr right out of college. The refineries will pay better than that, but you have to work...

| Money Talk|| re: Lower salary w/stock options versus higher salary no stock options - eelsuee on 2/19/14 at 9:32 pm|
It should be easy to evaluate the value of the stock options. Agree with C, if roughly the same value then go with cash. I would guess the stock option is worth more if you are willing to accept the terms of when you can sale them. I guess a big question is how do you feel about the future of the...

I am glad he came here. Playing at LSU was part of his dream and the coaches felt he was good enough to get a scholarship. He will leave LSU with a degree and two more years to play college ball somewhere he can probably start. I wish him all the luck in the world.
He came to LSU because he wa...

If I had 2million, I could comfortably retire although I would still want to do some work....

They are in business because odds are in their favor that they can cover your repairs and have enough left over to cover their overhead and still make a profit. So over the course of 20 years, you will very likely come out ahead if you never purchase the warranty. The only people I think should co...

I am going to go with 2000 UT. We just witnesses back to back losing seasons suffered one of the worst home losses in school history the week before (UAB). UT was top 10, that guy wrote the article about death valley being dead and nobody thought LSU had a chance. I think ever since that game LSU...

With no mortgage and something near $2mill I could retire now at 33. If I didn't have a mortgage, I could maintain my current lifestyle at about $45k per year. I would need enough for interest to exceed that number so my money could continue to grow....
