re: Caddo River fishing in Glenwood, AR - advice or experience there? - The Last Coco
When we floated the caddo, we used light tackle with watermelon baby brush hogs and caught a bunch of smallmouth
That's awesome! When we floated the little Missouri I was told we could catch smallies but we didn't catch a single one and ended up with 40 spots....

re: Caddo River fishing in Glenwood, AR - advice or experience there? - The Last Coco
Never fished that river in particular, but have fished the Little Missouri which isn't too far from there and I imagine they are similar fisheries. You'll be targeting and catching almost exclusively small spotted bass. 1/8-1/4oz shiner patterned spinnerbaits, 1/8oz buzzbaits, and crawfish imitat...

re: What is Your Opinion of Duck Hunting Opportunities in Other States vs Louisiana - The Last Coco
And THAT's the point. You dont have to get a flat boat to hunt prime areas of Arkansas.
1. Lots of places in Ark you need boats, ATVs, etc.. to access the "prime" flooded timber spots
In LA, because the price of a horrible 100 bird rice field blind is so inflated,
2...

re: What is Your Opinion of Duck Hunting Opportunities in Other States vs Louisiana - The Last Coco
You keep bring up ducks per hunter. This is not about the most amount of ducks killed. Yes, youre right, there are alot of ducks killed in LA. This is about OPPORTUNITY. $5000 can buy you one hell of a lease in any state with the exception of LA. $5000 doesnt buy jack shite anymore. Im talking...

re: What is Your Opinion of Duck Hunting Opportunities in Other States vs Louisiana - The Last Coco
Just because it isn't a mallard doesn't mean it doesn't count as a duck.
Exactly. Some of the posters are comparing guided hunts in mallard-heavy areas to public land hunting in Louisiana as though they should be on equal footing. I know several public land hunters in LA that kill m...

re: What is Your Opinion of Duck Hunting Opportunities in Other States vs Louisiana - The Last Coco
Louisiana is literally one of the worst states to kill ducks in,
That might be one of the most ignorant statements I've ever read on here. And that's saying something. The OPPORTUNITIES in LA far exceed those in every other state - that's why there are so many more hunters. Just...

re: How many rods do you fish with? - The Last Coco
I'm usually in a kayak which means I bring 4 rods. I have 8-10 set-ups to choose from though and will bring 6-8 if I'm going in someone's bass boat. Some of them are very technique specific and get used sparingly (deep-diving crankbait rod, punching rod, etc...) but the ones I usually bring in th...

re: Shreveport for the weekend - The Last Coco
Zocolo's, Wine Country (get the fried rabbit...) & Bella Fresca Bistro (chicken fried chicken is awesome) are 3 of my favorites. Anvil is legit too. For more casual, hit Great Raft for beer and Ki Mexico - you won't be sorry. Other mentioned places are solid - Frank's, Twisted Root, Rotolo's, El ...
We've had close to 3" already today in Ellick.
4.02" in shreveport so far...
Last I recall, Academy didn't carry FRC.
Academy 100% carries FRCs. I have bought all my FRCs from there for a couple of years now.
