re: Kayak Advice: Cuda 12 or 14 - The Last Coco
Could I bring the 12' out to the Ride the Bull tournament
Yes
and fish the beaches on calm days?
Yes
Does the 12' track well?
Tracks fine. Not as well as the 14' but it'll be ok for most things. If portability and storage of the 14' isn't an issue, ...
This is not limited to FireTV, you can't use WatchESPN on any device (Roku , Apple TV, etc) without a TV subscription.
It's also not limited to WatchESPN - most apps on the streaming devices require login credentials provided by a cable/satellite TV service (Comcast, COX, DirecTV,...

re: Chromecast or Roku Stick? - The Last Coco
If you're gonna get a stick, get the Amazon FireTV Stick - it's the best stick available. Of the two you posted, the Roku stick is better, but the Fire Stick is the best stick out there....

re: Got a Penn Battle 4000 reel.....need some rod suggestions - The Last Coco
As already suggested, 20# fluoro leader is what I recommend going with. I use a uni-to-uni knot for my braid to fluoro connections for inshore. I'm not as picky when it comes to my leader material....

re: Got a Penn Battle 4000 reel.....need some rod suggestions - The Last Coco
what's the benefit of the 8 strand braid over the 4 strand?
Smoother, rounder braid. Limper, easier to tie knots, more manageable with better castability. Also, if it does get nicked, you're less likely to break off because it has more strands to distribute the strength with. If you...

re: Got a Penn Battle 4000 reel.....need some rod suggestions - The Last Coco
How far can you cast with your 30# braid compared with 15 or 20?
I don't notice a substantial difference and the additional strength and abrasion resistance of the 30# makes up for any little loss in casting distance. The only reason I use 20# braid on my Penn Slammer 260 is line c...

re: Got a Penn Battle 4000 reel.....need some rod suggestions - The Last Coco
I'm in favor of STAR rods. I have a Stellar Lite M action, 7'6" on an older Penn Slammer 260 and love it. Should run you right around $100, maybe $110. I've caught everything on that set-up. Redfish, trout, snook, catfish, bass, bonita, small mangroves, bluefish, and even a juvenile goliath grouper....

re: Braid vrs Mono Pro's Con's ? - The Last Coco
I use braid for nearly everything except throwing crankbaits. I have found that using braid allows for better casting distance and accuracy, increased bite sensitivity and cheaper long-term line costs. Using braid allows me to reduce the power level of my rod by one versus mono which correlates t...
