re: At what age did you or your kids upgrade from spincast reels? - The Last Coco
Spinning combos have utility but miss the mark here because: 1: That's not what dad uses
Understood. In that case, the smaller and lighter baitcasting reels are usually the more expensive options. I would shy away from the crappie-sized baitcasters that are available as they ...

re: At what age did you or your kids upgrade from spincast reels? - The Last Coco
Any suggestions on quality smaller sized baitcast reels?
Why not transition to smaller 1000 or 2000 size spinning reels? Then move on to baitcasters at a later date? A 2000 size spinning reel is plenty small enough for small hands of kids and can handle pretty much everything from ...

re: Waterfowl Hunter Survey Closes Tonight - The Last Coco
Using the exact same methods, surveys in MO, MN, IL, and IA get response rates at or higher than 50%.
I think this can in large part be attributed to the prevalence of duck hunting in LA. In other areas of the country, the only people duck hunting are serious hunters whereas in LA I ...

re: Deep water bass fishing - The Last Coco
If you can find them in singles or stacked on your electronics, then drop-shots, jigging spoons and jigs can be VERY effective. But if you're just searching, I would stick with c-rigs (yes you absolutely need a swivel) or cranks....

re: Deep water bass fishing - The Last Coco
You should still be able to catch them shallow, especially in the mornings, all throughout the summer. I think the idea that all the big fish move deep is more myth than fact. Punching grass, fishing frogs early, and finding shallow feeding areas near deep water are all sure-fire shallow water tacti...

re: What kind of pepper is this and is it ready to pick? - The Last Coco
I'm thinking banana. Sweet chili is usually a little longer/skinnier but peppers present in so many different shapes and sizes so it's hard to tell based on your unfocused picture. Also, clip your old marigold blooms and get the damn Cutter off your grill - you trying to poison yourself?...

re: Anyone have any less known tips on selling a shotgun? - The Last Coco
$600 for a used Wingmaster without the Rem-choke is high for anything other than a MINT gun with some special significance. A used 3" wingmaster with a fixed choke barrel is worth no more than $300 from what I've seen. I would list at $350 and go from there. The difference is due to seller ignora...

re: Dominant wave period....what does that mean? - The Last Coco
Does it apply to inshore forecasts
Not so much. If you're on the outside of the islands it'll come into play, but otherwise the wave action is limited due to fetch or depth in most locations and is determined by wind direction and velocity. ETA: I should add that I assume you're g...
