re: Rank SEC teams by your hatred of their fan base. - wmr
I read this thread, then went back to the OP and was surprised it was started by a Mizzou fan. I keep forgetting they're in the SEC. I love everybody. Love! Love! Love you guys!!...
Very, very, very few that work at those corporations make six figures or even close to six figures.
Hold up. "Very very very few"? That's not really true. Lots of folks working for all three companies make great money. Sure, there are tons of jobs in the $40-65k range. There a...

re: A New Perspective on Gay Rights - wmr
I think there's some validity to the comments. People are weirded out by the freakshow gay pride gays. The lesbians gardening across the way or the gay dude sports fan at the gym are non-threatening. You see a lot of the same type of dysfunction among sports fans. People with no sense of self ...

re: Bentonville - New Hipster City. - wmr
I think the Waltons are going to force Bentonville into being a cool town. I read about them purchasing more land for their "Market District" area which will be a mixed-use project of several acres, including a culinary school, condos and restaurants. They are also consciously building an "Art...
Maxine's in Fayetteville last night and speculated that there were probably more hipsters sitting at the bar at that particular time than the entire city of Bentonville. Oh, I wasn't being bitchy with you. I meant whoever thinks a mayor has that kind of control over development projects going forward or not doesn't understand the process. Alexander/Nock have done some of the best buildings in Fayetteville. They did the Three Sisters which knocked ROTC ...

re: Which SEC town offers the best quality of life? - wmr
Another thing, if you decide you want "big city life" for a few years, you can do a lot worse than the contacts you can make working in NWA for a couple of years for some global companies. We have lots that bigger cities can offer, but we get to live in a college town and act like idiots....

Fayetteville itself really isn't, either, although we've launched several start ups lately. The start-up infrastructure here is incredible. People invent products all the time and know somebody at Walmart, and boom, millionaire. But it at least offers the option of a 25 minute commute to some p...
I need something to back this up. Numbers i just looked at have it growing slower than national average. Walmart would do me absolutely no good if I moved there and was looking for a job.
It isn't just Walmart HQ. We are a metro of 500,000 with 3 Fortune 500 companies and all of...
