Can't imagine any band more perfect to do something like this. No dates here, but they'll be in Biloxi and Austin. Should be interesting.

We went about 4 years ago in July. I think it's worth the drive for sure. It was one of the most beautiful places! We drove up the mountain to Mystic Lake...didn't do any hiking, just walked around the lake area. There were trails though. There was also still plenty of snow on the ground.

Another good way to eat it is to take it out the casing and stuff it in a bell pepper! I usually top it with breadcrumbs and bake!
| Food and Drink Board|| re: Tell me about Boudin - lsuaudio on 6/10/14 at 4:34 pm|
I grew up on Hebert's boudin in Maurice. It's still a personal favorite. It's ground up more than most places and has a strong black pepper taste but I'm still a fan.
I really like Nunu's too. Their Steen's sausage is the the best thing ever though!...

I passed through Scott saturday on the way to the VP.
Picked Billy's this go round. Regular boudin, smoked boudin and those pepperjack boudin balls.

Those pepper jack stuff boudin balls at Billy's are legit too!

I received a $50 voucher from another website and I'm debating using it or not. With shipping costs, I'd get 6 bottles for about $18.
Just curious if anyone is familiar with it. I've read some mixed reviews online.

One of my favorite new restaurants. We went a couple weeks ago and also had the shrimp toast but it didn't come with pickles like yours. Also agree about the bisque..it is outstanding! The only thing missing are stuffed crawfish heads.

Thanks for the suggestions. We're planning a pretty small wedding; under 100 guests. The caterer isn't set in stone yet, but we are planning on using one from my hometown in south Louisiana. Reasonably priced authentic cajun food. Completely worth the extra hassle of hiring another vendor.
