My favorite was A Farewell to Arms. Can't explain why exactly but it made me an instant Hemingway fan and I read several of his other books on my own.
I hated Catcher in the Rye, but I never really gave it a chance after being disappointed when I found out it wasn't about baseball. :banghead:...
