re: Hypothetical question: if the movie Se7en happened in real life - Joshjrn
You mean you wouldn't shoot a guy who you just found out cut your pregnant wife's head off? I'm not sure how you arrived at the conclusion that's Pitt's character deserved to be considered a bad guy.
I have no idea what I would do. I hope I wouldn't execute a man sitting cuffed...

re: Non solid food suggestions - Joshjrn
All four of mine were impacted and needed to be cut out, plus I'm not nearly as manly as some of the people on this thread, so I was on a smoothie diet for two or three days. I really didn't want "real" food and the cold was nice. ...

I just posted this in a nearly identical thread a few days ago, but frick it: I'm 70% VTSAX and 30% VWIGX. I pour money into them weekly. It makes me happy. ...

Actually, I'm just looking at this for the first time in a while: am I seeing this correctly that it's been devalued to 5% redemption bonus? ...

re: Credit Card Rewards and Points Discussion - Joshjrn
That's fair. I think I'm going to get the Arrival+ for now (in the next month or two), use it for any spending that would normally be 1x for me, then survey the landscape in mid to late 2016 and see where we are. ...

re: How often do you go a day without spending any money? - Joshjrn
Same here damn it. I can even bring lunch but will still go out to socialize.
My daily lunch addiction keeps me sane. It's either pay now, or pay the therapist later ...

re: Credit Card Rewards and Points Discussion - Joshjrn
I can confirm that the Office Depot on College in Baton Rouge carries Amazon cards pretty consistently. ETA: Why cancel the Arrival+ instead of downgrading to Arrival? It still has 2x travel and dining, no foreign transaction fees, and chip and pin tech (which is rare for cards here). ...
Does the Sapphire allow you to transfer to the Ink?
To my knowledge, all of the Chase cards do. I've had no issue transferring both from my Freedom and no-fee Sapphire to my Ink.
I use the Hyatt personal card or the United Biz card for restaurants since they both get 2x...
So, you're getting 5x on gas 6 months out of the year, and 2% the other 6 months. That's good.
2x half the year? I just have to take a few more trips to Office Depot to buy Shell gift cards with my Ink those months :pimp: I spend an obscene amount of money at restaurants (curre...

I know I've posted my plan before, but now that I'm getting to the next app (about to finish my three months with the Ink Plus), I figured I would revisit to see if anything has changed: I currently have a Freedom, no-fee Sapphire, Ink Bold, and Ink Plus. My next planned app will be for a Barcla...

re: Notary Exam in Baton Rouge Prep Class - Joshjrn
Is that new? I know of a particular Justice of the Peace that got reprimanded for drafting a divorce. Then again, I suppose it's possible he wasn't a notary as well, though that would strike me as odd. ...

I've never paid an annual fee. Am I exempt as an attorney, or is someone wringing their hands, waiting for my money? P.S. I absolutely have the embosser. Just saying, it's not necessary. It is sexy, though :pimp:...
