My point was that you were trying to draw an analogy between bank security and the security of btc exchanges. The analogy doesn't work for the reasons I stated.

Yeah definitely look around. If you just want a deposit/checking relationship that can be had at nearly every bank, and smaller banks just do a better job at customer service.
Capital One 360 is actually 100% online and is separate from brick-and-mortar Capital One...I actually can't do anything...

I had a SunTrust account and closed it in favor of Capital One 360 (was ING Direct).
If you're looking for pleasant then you might be better off with a credit union or smaller bank. They have a zillion branches in the southeast so you'll find friendly branch folk and not-so-friendly.

I think that if this is accurate, it means that the bankruptcy filing might get dismissed so Gox's depositors can go after them.
