re: Help starting older outboard - Chris4x4gill2
We had that same motor on my Dad's boat. It was always cold natured and took a while to warm up. Always had ot keep the choke on for a few minutes to get it running good and warm so it wouldnt die. LAst issue we had with it was due to one of the coil packs going out. Definately made it harder to...

re: Thoughts on new Sea-Doo Spark - Chris4x4gill2
Starting to see a few of them around our lake, I havent looked at any of them up close other than at the boat show. The 5K version is going to be barebones and under powered. Even with the "upgrade" engine, I'd only get the two seat model. By time you add the basic features they go to $7K pretty fas...
Yea we would probably run the generator for the ac at night. I just ordered 3 7 watt panels from sportsman guide. What size controller do you have if any. I was gonna get 30 amp.
I think our controller is rated for 12 watts. Its just a trickle charge all week for the battery and we...

I picked up a 10 yr old Eton a few weeks back. Its rough around the edges but the littel motor runs great. Only thing it needs is a new starter - which I can get on Ebay for $30. I bet you could find just about any part you need for those other chineses knock offs on ebay as well. ETA: I paid...

re: How to disable seatbelt chime 2014 Sierra - Chris4x4gill2
go to the dealership and ask the parts guy for a seatbelt extender. Should be free - at least they use to be. Or you can order one on line - but one from the dealership should match the buckle thats in your truck. ...

re: First boat purchase questions... - Chris4x4gill2
I would cancel the test drive on that Sea Ray. The owner is either clueless or isn't being totally honest. Either is bad for you as a buyer. Things aren't adding up. On top of that stored outside with no cover I'm going to say that boathe would be a money pit and a bucket of problems. I am ...
