re: Questions about ski boats - Chris4x4gill2
Tahoes are very popular because of their price point. They are as step above a Bayliner. Its a great entry boat to use for a few years, but the ones i have been around start to have issues and fall apart around year 5. Resale on them is not great. They are typically underpowered to get them to ...
Do not sand. That's just removing what gel coat you have left and that's the shiny part.
Not true. the top layer of oxidized gel is not shiny. Gel is not thin like paint, you have plenty of room to sand to get down to the "good" gel....

Wet sand. The fiberglass is oxidized, you need to remove the oxidization layer and it will look brand new. It is very labor intensive and time consuming. Exactly how bad is determined by the level of oxidization. id start with 800 grit and see if that did the trick, if not step up to 600. Th...
you might need a 4 prong instead of a 3. Sounds like your heating element isn't getting any juice
This is certainly possible. Could also have an issue with the wall socket. I have had them short one side and only deliver 110 instead of 220 which isnt enough to run the element...
