I live in Fernewood near the mall, and you can get to Scott fairly quickly by going the back way via Duhon Rd. to Acadiana High School and on to Scott....

Sounds like a scam to me. I wouldn't pay a dime unless I was legally forced to. I think your receipt stating the package weight should hold up in any court. With this said, their complaint should be more toward USPS more than you. I'm not sure insurance would have paid when the package was neither ...
