re: A feller can catch a mess out the Bon Idee right now - dayne o
Me and a buddy of mine used to run out there and put the boat in late in the evening. Around 5 pm or so and fish till dark. 15 to 20 was the normal haul. We did this on the regular. Watermelon red baby brush hog was the thing to use. Haven't done it in several years though. I need to get back to try...

If we had been set up in the spot they wanted, I would be posting a similar pic. Maybe not the bonus pic. We shot the teal and gray ducks early....sooooo that didn't leave much room for many mallards. We passed on gazillion bazillion teal after we saw what was fixing to happen so we could haul some ...
I thought the D would be a lil better frankly
I was kinda hoping for a little more as well. The sacks aren't as bountiful as they have been in the past. Maybe we have been spoiled by watching the defenses we have seen the last few years. Hopefully they will have a coming out p...

Just wanted to get the thoughts of how you guys think this team has performed as a whole up to this point. Have your pre season expectations been met, over achieved, or underwhelming? The offense is obviously improved but were you expecting what we have seen so far? Positigers and negatigers....disc...

I am excited as hell to hunt this place. Drove down there today to check the place out. Didn't really go into the woods due to the fact it was hot and rattle snakes move well in warm temps! Anyone here hunt the Port Gibson area? - dayne o
I just joined a club close to the power plant and I was just wondering if the deer hunting is pretty solid. Club I joined claims to have killed some pretty good bucks. Anyone else hunt this same area that can confirm that 140" bucks aren't that uncommon for this location?...

I don't see a problem with it at all. He placed trees in a public fishing spot. That is the risk he chose to take. Some people just like to do this kinda stuff just so they can bitch about something. "I'm gonna fix this hole up and I dare someone to catch a fish out of it!"..... Tell him when the fi...

re: Rice field guys. Water well question - dayne o
You might want to just drill a new well altogether. Or at least another to help out with the existing one. Electric may be cheaper but it is not the only option. Most of our wells are 12" and pump plenty of water for a 40 acre field. All of ours use a 4 or 6 cylinder diesel engine with a drive shaf...
So electric goes as big as you can afford
But if the water is not there he is wasting money. Think of it as having a prop that doesn't have enough pitch to match the HP on a boat. You get over-rev at full throttle. This is sorta like a well that surges. When they surge, lower the...

re: Rice field guys. Water well question - dayne o
How many acres total are you trying to flood? Converting to a diesel/propane may not help much. Depends on how good of a well it is. Some wells just aren't that good. They will surge if they aren't in a good formation. I would try to find out how good of water is there before spending a lot of money...
