re: We've discussed razors and shaving often. I own 17 razors.....? - TigerOnThe Hill
You've got some good advice already, but I'll go ahead and chime in. My first DE razor was the Merkur 38c. I've been very pleased w/ it and it's still my primary razor. I like it's slightly longer handle. It shows no significant signs of being worn. OTOH, I was disappointed by the Jaeger I bought as ...
You know if you can shave with a Shavette, you can shave with a real straight.
Yeah, but I"m not ready to take up the extra work of keeping a straight blade sharp. This also gives me a chance to use the #300 single blades I already have. Using one/wk, it'll only take 6 yrs to use the...

re: We've discussed razors and shaving often. I own 17 razors.....? - TigerOnThe Hill
I've got 3 double edge safety razors, but I bought a half blade/single edge razor today (basically a straight razor using replaceable blades). At Christmas, my wife bought me 400 razor blades (a 16 year supply), but 300 were the half blade variety. Figured I'd buy a new razor so I could use them. ...

re: Skunk trouble - TigerOnThe Hill
HS, My son in law did battle w/ skunks inside city limits of Shreveport for a couple years. He live trapped them then either tried killing them or relocating them. He started by filling up the holes w/ concrete, but they just dug new holes. Drowning didn't work (they ran out of the trash can when h...

re: Best Single Stack 9mm? - TigerOnThe Hill
By the time this thread ends you're going to have a LONG list because there are a LOT of good single stack semi-auto 9mm's for concealed carry. Most everyone's going to recommend the ss 9 they use and that's only natural. Having said that, the "best" one will be determined by YOU and your criteria. ...

re: My New Rifle (subtle brag thread) - TigerOnThe Hill
Looks like you've got a shooter!! It also looks like the shooter's holding up his end of the deal quite well. If the UTG is a decent Harris knock off, let me know when you get ready to get rid of it; I could use another bipod for my upcoming prairie dog hunts. ...

re: Handgun Suggestions for a Lady - TigerOnThe Hill
First question to answer: will the gun be solely for home defense or will she also be using it for concealed carry? The best advice will vary depending on the intended use. Assuming it's for home defense only, the following is solid advice.
...all of these subcompact/compact suggestions...

re: Italian firm Pietta to produce replica of the Colt Python - TigerOnThe Hill
While it may have the externals of the Python, I doubt it'll have the smooth action of the Python. It will be quite a coup if they can really reproduce the Python for $700. I'm not familiar w/ Pietta, but I'll admit I don't keep track of Italian gun makers. Wonder what else they make?...
