[quote]The only thing I'm beginning to hate about a 1911 is how many damn options and opinions there are, and I do not even own one yet. I feel like I'm about to fall into the trap my AR set. My first one led to wanting about 3-4 more and a lot more money spent.

I'll admit I don't have a Ruger 1911, but I've had enough Ruger's through the years to appreciate both their quality design and reasonable pricing. If you're looking for a "Commander" size 1911, I personally think the Ruger will be hard to beat. If this is going to be a gun for cc, do yourself a fav...

True. And be careful if you ever take one apart. A friend of mine took apart his wife's BAR to give it a thorough cleaning. He had ALL kinds of problems getting it back together properly for it to function. Fortunately, his father-in-law ended up helping him as he wa...

Here's the website for the man who made the knife pictured in my earlier post. My wife never hinted as to how much it cost so his knives may be pricey. If I remember, I'll still ask him about his knife making if I see him at church tomorrow. In the mean time, here 'ya go. [link=(http://ww...
