It is pretty quick to jump through the major players and their prices should be in line with their partners (Delta/AirFrance/KLM/Alitalia; United/Luftansa; etc.)

It seems like you have a pretty good bit of leeway in your travels so I would try playing with the dates and city pairs if possible and I would look into some of the LCCs in Europe to ...

I would agree with this but it isn't like Herald Square is a peaceful walk in the park.
I would say all are fairly similar, but I HATE the elevator system used in the Marriott Marquis.
