Buy the suction cup mount and mount it to the kayak itself. The suction cup is very strong. Also, I made a safety cable for mine for that rare chance it does come off....

I got the GoPro 3 Black edition around Christmas time. Admittedly, I don't use it as much as I like, but I love the thing. I've used it for fishing several times with the head strap. Also mounted it on my car and boat while riding around. Used it while playing football with some friends.
