But I gotta say if I did, I'd prefer the small-ball to the old 5-hour 21-14 games of the 90's with juiced up kids hitting homers off bat handles....

The passion LSU fans have for colliege baseball is simply unparralleled.
USL supports their baseball team better than most, but all but save a small handfull of schools pale in comparison to LSU in support of their team...

I can remember us coming in second once years ago in men's tennis, but yeah, I've always had the perception that Stanford was a tennis power.
Don't know how big of an upset this was, but my first instinct would be to think pretty big.

Solid if not spectacular. Could run and throw...was not exeptional at either, but good at both so the combination served him well.
His legs won us the SEC title game in 2001. He wasn't quite their yet in the passing game so we basically ran read option every play. Not Chief's greatest moment....

Good to have some off-season talk of LSU hoops. I hope Bullet puts a schedule together that will actually get some early season fan interest and prepare the team for SEC play and beyond.
Getting in the NCAA tourney is a reasonable expectation next year. You basically have to be one of the 40-45...

LSU/Tulane 1981 at the Dome. Tulane 48-7...there have been some stinkers in my lifetime, but none worse than that.
Losing to them at home in the first round of the NIT a few months later made it even worse.
Tulane actually had a few fans back then and they were the worst....

Half the game is played on the defensive end, so to summarrily dismiss that is short-sighted.
I don't know that Durant is a great defender, but certainly better than Melo.
So even if you say they are eqauls offensively (which I don't, I still give Durant a slight advantage for overall offens...

Don't know of any. I remember the Boudreaux brothers...Harold and Carrol in the 80's, but one played at LSU and the other at USL.
It would be very Dale to recruit twins, but I don't think we ever had twins actually play here together. But I could be wrong....

Dale's 2 Final 4 teams had similar rotations to. None of our 3 most recent Final Four teams were deep. Nore was the Elite 8 squad in '87.
The 1980 team that went to the Elite 8 may have been the deepest of our successful tournament teams....
