Thanks for all the feedback, everyone -- good and bad, I welcome all.
This project was my first attempt at anything of the sort, and I enjoyed making it -- visualizing an end result and seeing how it comes out is rewarding, and I found painting to be calming.

I live a few blocks from where this arrest took place, and the police were apparently out in good numbers giving tickets to jaywalkers and stop-sign runners.
I do see a LOT of jaywalkers in this area, and I see a LOT of drivers who are speeding, not paying attention, etc....
