Our athletic department takes nothing from the state... we control our own destiny. Actually, our AD gives money to the academic side... been doing it for years. Every other school in La. gets athletic support from the state....

I was on campus, mid 60's. Poor coach but no one really cared. It was like well, you had to put a team on the field. I think he did win an SEC title later when Miley was there....

When playing the Furmans of the world, it is likely that 15 minutes prior to KO some will be given to you. Happen to me last year. Given 6 tickets by 3 different people... just kept upgrading. Being able to sit in the comfort of your own home and watch virtually all sports is killing attendance... especially at LSU. People leave football games at halftime because they have been tailgating all day and can get home in time to see the second half of the game on TV...and no traffic problems....

Jones was sick over the weekend, it effected his play on Sunday so CPM took him out to avoid more bad plays. Jones wasn't able to focus because he was sick. I'm guessing the 16 inning game brought back the sickness he had on Friday causing him to sit out.

Had he prepared properly and worked on his accuracy while at LSU, maybe we would have won a national championship while he was our QB. If he didn't prepare well in the NFL, what would make anyone think he prepared well at LSU, albeit he did give 100% on the field....
