York street has always been shitty. It's all duplexes and low income residents. It was shitty all throughout the 90s and I would imagine it's just as shitty now.
I remember riding my bike with friends thru Lafreniere to get snowballs at David's Snowballs, and Popeyes and Rally's.

Grew up around the corner from Lafreniere Park on the W. Napoleon side. My parents and grandparents still live there, as well as several friends. As long as it's by the shitty part by the old Downs Lounge, i'm ok with it.
Keep them a-holes away from the St Mary Magdalen/Mike Miley area thoug...
