"Russell Grant -- likely the purest outside shooter in LSU history."
I remember Grant well and played with and against him on a number of occasions. Let's just say that I humbly dissent from your assertion. :lol:

"but the opposing point guard would come up court and mimic CJs moves. It was great."
That rings a faint bell. Maybe the guard was from Mississippi, too? Too long ago for me to say for sure.
Another great memory was the game against the Yugoslav national team. We lost but CJ was mind blowin...
| Pelicans Talk|| re: If you live in Nola area and didn't go to the game tonight what is your excuse? - N.O. via West-Cal on 1/29/15 at 9:26 am|
I went Monday and have two kids, so weeknight games are tough. Just not likely to be there on consecutive nights.
Crowd Monday was pretty small but I thought not so bad - and pretty boisterous - considering Monday night and the less than sexy opponent.
Next up for me is Monday against the Eas...

"Overall it was a tough grind-it-out game and it was great to come out with a win."
We didn't have Patterson, the pace favorced the opponent, and the Tigers still got it done. In short time, few will remember much about this win, but for a team trying to finish high in the conference make a case...

I saw that game at a friend of a friend's apartment who had gotten some form of pay per view (Tigervision, I think) for the game. Just incredible to watch Glass and CJ go back and forth. This is a game not many people have seen.
thanks for posting....
| Pelicans Talk|| re: Jrue off the bench when he returns?? - N.O. via West-Cal on 1/27/15 at 10:26 am|
"When Jrue returns, we shouldn't need to play anyone other than Reke, EG, Jrue, QPon, DC, AD, Ryno, and Asik."
I like this as your main 8 and then I would make room for these two to getting relatively small minutes: Fredette (like his energy and the ball moves) and Ajinca (I think you need one m...

| Political Talk|| re: Is there a legit 3rd party candidate? - N.O. via West-Cal on 1/22/15 at 10:30 am|
No. Although a third party candidate with no shot could determine the election. Generally conservative third party candidate hurts the GOP and a generally liberal (or "green") third party candidate hurts the Democratic Party....
| Tiger Rant|| re: Josh Gray could easily be 3rd string PG - N.O. via West-Cal on 1/21/15 at 10:44 am|
I am agnostic as to exactly how he should be handled, but I see a kid who has ability but is trying way too hard. Make the early, open pass; penetrate and shoot more off passes such that ball movement has created openings and less off the dribble; less "hero ball," and at least for now, NO dribblin...

"Why would anybody carry a gun in walmart?"
I don't CC but when you consider that my local Wal-Mart is on Tchopitoulas where a big housing project used to be, well, I think I understand why someone might want to CC. :lol:...
| Tiger Rant|| re: Steele is new DC as per Mike Scarborough - N.O. via West-Cal on 1/13/15 at 5:09 pm|
"LSU NFL players have publicly agreed."
I would not rely on players to determine if a position coach will perform well as a DC.

Which has nothing to do with anything.

A criticism you often hear from even relatively even-keeled foreign policy commentators is that he is quick to seek "reset" with those who don't share our goals or values, but he is not the best friend to have. Why would we even begin to make this difficult for the Canadians, our staunch ally and tr...

| Political Talk|| re: Thanks to Big Oil for lowering gas prices - N.O. via West-Cal on 1/12/15 at 4:56 pm|
It is well known that Big Oil colludes to set crude oil prices that have no relationship to supply and demand such that the price we pay at the pump merely represents what They want us to pay. Beware, though, because this could be a ruse to prevent the exploitation of perpetual motion and al...

4-1 with a loss to Toronto. I admit that this is what I want to happen and what I think should happen, even if I am not entirely convinced that this team is consistent enough to do it. The run starts now. :dude:...
