re: Ken Hatfield - Coaching philosophy - ArkBengal
He wasn't run off from Arkansas due to losing too much, they just got tired of the option offense basically. I don't think he changed his basic offensive philosophy, but he did have a Plan B for when it didn't work. Also, we sometimes over complicate things too much. Hatfield said it was a simple ...

re: Ken Hatfield - Coaching philosophy - ArkBengal
So you think we should have continued to use the same philosophy that gained us about 100 yards in 3 1/2 quarters in the Arkansas game ? No changes in scheme or personnel ? Sure, that worked ...

re: Ken Hatfield - Coaching philosophy - ArkBengal
Ok, for those a little slow on the pickup. A good coach will make changes if what they are doing is not working. That simple enough ?...

Ken Hatfield - Coaching philosophy - ArkBengal
Two years ago I had the pleasure of meeting Ken Hatfield at the Paul Eells golf tournament in Little Rock. I made it a point to speak to him about a game he coached at Rice. At the time, Arkansas had fired him because his triple option offense was not sexy enough, even though he averaged around ten ...

re: Is there any reason I shouldn't buy a Tundra? - ArkBengal
Well, when my leadfooted wife drives it it gets around 17 overall, still not too bad. What I have found is they are very acceleration and speed sensitive regarding mileage. You can see a big difference between 60-65 and 75+ in gas consumption. Pushing a lot of air at the higher speeds....

re: Is there any reason I shouldn't buy a Tundra? - ArkBengal
Recent story. Took my 2012 Tundra on a haul this week. Drove 250 miles round trip, 100 of which was with an 1,850 lb injection mold in the bed. Squatted good, but made it fine. Drove 70 on freeways except for that 100 miles at 60 with the load and 60 on two lane roads (about 70 miles total) and stil...

re: Are these Les Answers true? - ArkBengal
Same argument I heard when Arkansas was getting rid of Nutt, although they screwed that up. But they got a coach, like him or not, that got them back competitive in short order. And look to have done it again after Petrino blew it. That said, not sure if I trust Aleva to handle it...
