You are correct, Verapamil is a CCB. After reading more about it I can see why they want to keep an eye on the old ticker.
Ii understand the Relpax is stout stuff too. But, they do seem to work in my case....

Not necessarily. I didn't start having them until late 50's and got progressively worse until I got treatment...

They are bad - I've had them going on 5 or 6 years. Doc has me on Verapamil ( beta blocker) which has helped a lot. Also use Relpax when one happens & will usually kill it. Pretty much had to quit alcohol too - common trigger
Oxygen helps some, but not that effective for me. Have to watch the heart...

Checking into this also, specifically for night hunting. Somebody told me I need a green laser/light to use in conjunction with regular scope ( as a cheap alternative to true night vision gear). Anybody used this combo & what lights/lasers you use ?...

Amusing to see Reid's remarks yesterday about how sequester is costing medical research the opportunity to produce AIDS and cancer (among other)cures/preventatives.
Although I could see how any cuts in research on senility would upset Harry....

That's a good looking rifle. Checked at LGS last week and he had sold one that morning. He did have an Armalite AR-10 so I got that. Then saw a M&P-10 later that day at Academy, but it was $100 more than the AR-10.
Both should be good to go....

In my opinion the three best rifles in the "mid range" pricing are Colt, Sig Sauer, and Windham.
I ended up with the Sig M400, but consider those about equals.

Supposed to be a "clean" version of stock GI model with about same pull weight as stock mainly for LE or others where they require standard pull weight. I'm sure it would be an improvement but I was looking for a lighter one. SSA has a 2 lb take up & a 2 lb crisp break. Feels great on dry fire but t...

Nah, bought from Midway but price was same ($210) everywhere I saw. Just finished install but haven't fired live round.
Some don't like two stage but it's fine by me in the SSA setup. Huge difference from stock tho !...

I stoll like my Sig SP 2022's, a 9 and a .40. Polymer frame like Glock but seem fine for casual shooters. Around $400 give or take instead of $800 plus for the steel Sigs, and shoots very well. I'm not gonna burn 10,000 rounds through one so I am happy with those....

Yep, went back to local dealer I bought rifle from yesterday & they were out of .223 ammo. Had plenty of 5.56 tho ( for now). Did buy couple more P- Mag 20's - he had those...

I looked at those, ended up with Sig due to price, availability. Old Bushmaster guys who should know what they are doing. But I would have bought Windham no problem - good gun in that price range....
