We had Jehovah's Witnesses in my high school and when everyone stood for the pledge every morning and the national anthem and pep rallies and games, they sat because of the idolatry thing. No one had a problem with it and I doubt anyone would have a problem if a national athlete of the same religion...

Don't recall a shortage of toilet paper or onions but I recall long lines and closed stations under Nixon and Carter. Nixon also brought us federal price limits on goods like milk.

Or it could tell you a) he was no. 2 at the time and the IRS needed a full house cleaning and b) he's the only guy Obama can fire right away. There are only 2 political appointees at the IRS. The other is already gone. Everyone else is civil service who can be fired, but not so quickly.
