I don't consider it history when you're the 4th person to do something
It would be historic because none of the other LA guys who broke 4:00 did it in Louisiana. Actually, I think sub-4:00 has only been accomplished once in LA. The sub-4:00 equivalent at 1500m was completed mult...

I would not stay with your current job nor would I let the new employer know about the counteroffer. Your current job now knows that you are looking to leave (even if you accept their counter) and they will be looking to replace you as cheaply as possible. If you tell the new job about the counter o...

Ebay is great for shoes if you know your size. Tons of basically unused shoes. I scored a pair of Allen Edmonds Park Avenues (retail $335) for about $90 and some shell cordovan AE Patriots ($595 retail) for $120 within the past 6 months. They were both in great condition....

If you're strong at high school level math (Geometry, Algebra, Trig) and know anyone who works at a high school, get them to refer kids to you for tutoring on evenings/weekends. I do this and charge a minimum of $40/hr. Even if I only get 4 hours a month, it's still a nice chunk of change (usually c...

Whoa whoa whoa Let's set some things straight. 1) I never compared Quinn to Demps, Ford, Ginn, Harvin, etc. That was someone else. 2) There are MAYBE 5 meets in Louisiana that take wind readings for high schoolers. Everything else is suspect. Someone claimed that it would be noted if wind r...

re: Trey Quinn 10.4 100 meter - tigercross
Quinn's 10.64 is converted from a 10.4 hand time. Any hand timing at the high school level is suspect. His fastest FAT mark is 10.83, no other marks under 11.00, handtimed or otherwise. Two other guys in Quinn's 10.83 race broke 11.00 that day. Neither ever broke 11.00 again, which makes me believe ...
