re: Commanders Chef's Table - Gris Gris
Tory McPhail takes a lot of pictures of food he eats at other restaurants. Doesn't take but a few seconds to take a pic and it doesn't take much energy, if any, for me. I talk about food and restaurants with friends who share the same interests. Pics make it easier to describe the food and more fun...

re: Help! My dog refuses to eat: UPDATE pg. 3 he ate! - Gris Gris
That's tough. Testing for internal issues gets very expensive. We had luck with Dr. Lin at Medvet in Mandeville who was able to diagnose a complex combination of problems/diseases that other experienced vets had totally botched.
Definitely very expensive to try and find out what wa...
I don't think they tell the winner that they won with this show until the final episode though. I think it is a popular vote if my memory is correct.
Maybe that's how it works, but they certainly have to know who is left in the running. Doesn't it get down to 3? I haven't watched...

It's my understanding that the entire show is already done. Yep, hard to keep the secret. Like Jesse who knew he'd be voted off this week on MasterChef, but couldn't say anything. ...

Jay is #1 in this guy's ranking. The guy also tears up the Food Network. http://uproxx.com/filmdrunk/2015/06/food-network-star-power-rankings-week-4-4th-of-july-picnic/ ...

re: Anyone have any good recipes out there for fresh figs? - Gris Gris
Haven't tried pie tins. That might do it. Then I could string up white lights that would reflect on those and I'm sure it would be a sight to behold! Those dang birds are fast and I hate finding the pecked figs on the ground much less the tree. ...

re: Anyone have any good recipes out there for fresh figs? - Gris Gris
I tried one of those ugly owls and something else I can't recall right now. A fake snake maybe. The birds didn't care. I think they're used to the owls in my area and probably the snakes, too, since there's a bayou a block away. I see and hear owls quite often. They're scary creatures at night wh...

P 81 of the TD recipe book has Gee's recipe. BR, when they're ripe, you pick, or that's when I do if the birds haven't pecked them all. I have to fight them for what little I have left. I lost half my tree in one of the hurricanes. ...

re: Anyone have any good recipes out there for fresh figs? - Gris Gris
I like a little goat or blue cheese stuffed inside, then wrap them in prosciutto and bake. Kajungee has a recipe for pork tenderloin or pork loin, I believe in the TD bookbook. I have it somewhere and will look for it. ...
