Meh..Cummins is a damn good motor, but the world has passed it by. Loud, clanky, and dirty; just old school.
Duramax was the king until this new Ford diesel showed up.
Assuming no problems, it's boss at the moment....

Any mild abrasive will work well.
Instead of toothpaste, I've used a mild cutting compound applied by hand.
Wet sanding may be necessary on some headlights, but I've never had to do it. I also wouldn't recommend wet sanding to a novice as you can really mess some stuff up....

This is why these threads are difficult.
It is almost impossible to compare apples to apples, in terms of $ off sticker.
You are getting 11K off sticker, but what are they giving you on trade?
You have a fairly high value trade and it makes sense to trade for the sales tax advantage.

This just flat out isn't true anymore for cars and it never has been true for full size trucks.
Toyota's single biggest issue is the huge premium they think they can command for their trucks. Unless they change and get more competitive price-wise they will never gain substantial market share. I...
