I'll go back to subby's original question, why are there more top players from around here. The answer may be that professional athletics is one way out of any small town that is easy to visualize.
That's the same reason that so many great rock bands come from working class English communities...

I've used an inflatable kayak (a/k/a "duck") in whitewater several times. Never seen one as fancy as the pic you posted. Would never fish out of one, however, because fishing involves hooks and whiskers and other things that could put a hole in a duck....

Don't use a swivel because it makes me keep the entire leader off the end of the rod to cast. A uni knot allows me to cast with some leader inside the loop at the top of the rod. If I'm using a leader which is a couple of feet long this makes a big difference to me because I don't have that fly fi...

Braid. on one of my rods I tied a 30# flouro leader just to see if it makes a difference. haven't noticed any real difference and so the leader will likely go when I retie....

I've been trying them this winter and haven't had much luck. But you know, this has been a tough winter where I fish. Had three trips with no take home fish to show for it. As the brown shrimp start to run you should be able to catch easier with anything that looks like a shrimp....

Sounds like quite a few good guys had their firearms stolen, and stolen firearms were circulated among criminals.
Lesson here: Store your firearms in a manner than some idiot can't just steal them from your truck or house. If they get stolen, they will be used by the criminal who stole them....
